What a bunch of great supports we have 10 pages of bagging Lance.

Lance has stuck it up most of his critics this year instead of 10 pages of support all we get is Carlton supports fighting weather or not we should trade him.

Lance is the winner the CFC is lucky to have a loyal club man.

Its time for people to support Lance he will be at the club for a minumum of another 3 years and will be the next Captain of Carlton.

He is a great leader on and off the field.

Who knows - if we recruit Gardiner, some posters might get off Lance's back and start bagging MG.

Ego's, Blueboy. Many posters have lost all credibility after they slagged off this great Carlton player. They now can't accept it and are cluching at straws to justify their slander.

They're not alone, some in the media were very wrong too.

Well obviously its clear he doesnt as he just lets his opponent unaccounted for.. and he needs his opponents HANDPICKED for him!!

His fitness went down and Rocca smashed him, when Whitnall had previously done a good job on him earlier in the year.. There are many examples! His first half was good but he really went down the gurgler in the 2nd half!

Might have something to do with Whitnall's diet and once again not taking the issue SERIOUSLY!! Well, he can enjoy his Krispy Kremes now!!!

But stats can be meaningless! Like Synbad said, I wonder how many goals Whitnall had kicked on him..??

His tackle count is another blight on his performance which shows a lack of accountability.

Sure, Whitnall was OK this year.. but far from our Best!

The bad things evens out alot of the good things he does on the field..

Trade him to the dees for a 2nd round pick or if theyre desperate enough, a round 1 pick! Now thats forward thinking and looking to the future!

WHITNALL is a has-been!

Typical crap being spouted by the anti-Whitnall element who are falling over themselves to protect their own reputations as they wrote him off at the start of the year.

There's a case for saying Fev had a better year than Lance but after that, thats about it. Scotland was ok, Simpson good (particularly in the second half of the year), Murphy promising. He's a deserved best and fairest winner and won't be traded.

Perhaps Lappin is more deserving of your vitriol ...

Because we choose to look at the game and think lateraly and not just at meaningless stats!

Whitnall was GOOD, but i would say Fev, Scotland and Simpson had much better years for the whole 22 rounds than Whitnall.

Whitnall was good, but like he always has been was Spasmodic! He would have 4 or 5 goals kicked on him during certain games, but then the media would have the audacity to put him in Carltons best because he took a few MARKS!

A very overrated footballer is Big Red!

BB101 - How did you rate Fev's 1%s all the time, not occasionally, and how much did Scotland's possessions hurt the opposition (after he had run around in circles several times and kicked it 15 metres laterally). Not saying they weren't good, but both had deficiencies, and Scotto is not that tight as a half back flanker either. And it is not just about goals - Jezza 110 in 1970 - no b&f. Fev was great and if he improves his chasing and tackling over the whole match and not just in patches he might win next year.

What are on about??

I thought Fevs 1 %s were terrific for the year, except perhaps the last 2 or 3 games he dropped off.. Fev is one of our hardest workers on the field.. its when he does his block (which happens less these days) that people single him out!

Scotland was terrific and was our most consistent player. Far more than Lance! Whitnall may have had a fair impact on some games, however due to his diet, he cant keep up that decent level of performance for more than half a season!

Still has some work to do in the fitness stakes!!

Trade him to melbourne or geelong!

Thanks for the stats BlueBlood-101 to bad it doesnt help your cause.

You talk alot of crap Carlton will never trade Lance so get over it. He will be Carltons next captain.

And you have some nerve calling our best and fairest a has been.

He still has a lot to offer to the club weather you like it or not.

I've got a mate who's a Melbourne supporter. He was telling me about how they were planning for the future. I think the year was 1991.

Lance 6th on CFC 1%ers per game.

Scotland 18th.

Fev 23rd.

You need to be carfeful when using subjective perceptions which can be checked via reference to actual statistics.

For reference, Lance had the same no of tackles per game as Bret Thornton ... funny about that.

Thats because Lance is in more of the ACTION!!.. Hmm, funny that.. perhaps its because they are both in the backline..

I'll defend Fev because i've seen him many times this year chase and do the 1%ers.. The thing is, he isnt always in the action and where the ball is... he has to run to where the ball is in play... Ive seen him run a long way to make tackles many times.. He's certainly good value in that area now, perhaps could do with more stamina, thats all!

Lance is a spare man in defence! I'm not saying he's unaccountable, im saying he is unaccountable on his OPPONENT!

But thats ok, i wont flog this 1 to death.. thats my view and we'll leave it at that! I just think this season he's been given too much credit!

He's been a good player for us at times, but too inconsistent! :!:
