Having listened to the sacking of Grant from St-kilda will be interesting to see what comes out from this.

* First though the saints have not always done things right have to say that in footy there footy review they at least went through the process without anyone knowing about unlike our board which have put on a 2 Day Circus.

* they have been looking at 4 candidates from a cunsultancy firm run by the Archers Firm Stride Management group.. Names that have been spoken with include Cresswell and Longmire i believe....but there are 2 others ... with Archer having a strong link to Denis could be also on the radar.. I am certain Archer would consider the Blues actions to Denis to be pretty poor and also i am guessing that they could look at a deal where Carlton pays half of Denis contract if he was to leave and go into another job.

* Also there are a few rumblings of player unreast especially in the 18-23 Year Group who where very close with Grant. Wonder if there will be some players who will get really dissatisfied and jump ship very rare that it happens but with grant being so closely aligned including the player contracts and other close involvments.

Could certainly change some thought patterns down at theBlues HQ now that the Saints have done something out of Left field

As was breaking on the news tonight, Pagan is No1 choice for the Saints coaching job, how does that put everything into perspective after what had happened through the week at the Blues - maybe pagan will go now ??

Denis loves living in the 80's with his coaching and Carlton loved offloading past their prime veterans to the Saints in the 80's.

Sounds perfect to me!

How could he be the no 1 favourite when he has a contract with Carlton, who have just reaffirmed his position?

Ch 9 just using some imagination on the back of last week's debacle.

The consultancy company hired by Saints 2 weeks ago have interviewd 4 people, 2 of them being Longmire and Cresswell.

One could consider Pagan a very remote possibility, but hardly the favourite.

I doubt Saints would want an old fashioned coach like Pagan.

just interesting to see the links in the background ... maybe means nothing but who knows...

Depends on if Saints go for an untried or go for a past coach with success.

Who knows maybe even look at getting Denis of Blues hands by them paying some of his contract as they know we wanted him gone but couldnt pay him out

maybe more will be revealed next couple of days

I dont believe that Pagan will go to St Kilda.

If he chose to do so though, it would make for an extremely interesting worldline, for I do have a feeling that that in the not too distant future, a renewed and resurgent Carlton will engage in a September battle with a St Kilda side.

This future saints side is not all that different from the one we know of now except for the fact that they probably dont have Robert Harvey and that the premiership window is all but closed.

These sainters are in full knowledge that this is the final roll of the premiership dice for them before another rebuilding phase commences.

And we all know what that means....

So if this were the case, the old coach in my minds eye, who is happily viewing the exciting and rapid development of his old side would not be watching this from the stands, but from the coaches box instead.

And if he was the Coach of St Kilda at that time, I doubt whether he would be very happy at all.

Don't like them getting rid of Thomas. It smells a bit like Wobbles getting rid of Tony Swaw. Get rid of the fool and win a flag with a decent coach.
AND .... the Wobbles didn't have the sort of list that the Sainters have got.

Bugger!!

Oh my God, this is Freaky Friday.

Carlton and St Kilda have swapped roles. Carlton used to be the club that put up with no crap, did not accept defeat and expected accountability from the coach. St Kilda would always talk of developing a team and honourable losses accepting that they are "a few seasons" away from finals glory.

Well it is time this little swapping of roles stopped.

It's pretty easy Carlton, even St Kilda can do it.

There is a link between the consultancy firm and Ron Joseph. The consultancy firm is owned by Stride Management which is run by Joseph, Stevens and Archer.

Who could blame him if he wanted to go?
Nobody knew a thing about the sacking until the last possible minute. No flipping and flopping. They have money in the bank and they have a better list.
THEY WILL BE QUEING UP TO HAVE A CRACK

History has shown time and again, players who leave a bottom club to play with a side who play regular finals end up with egg on their face. Does the same go for coaches? I hope so.

im sure pagan would rather have the next three years trying to win a premiership with the aints than the next 2 years trying to avoid the wooden spoon with us.
