He needs to do more work on his upper arm definition. Maybe he would move faster if he dropped to his arms and ran crab-like.

Spot on. How Whitnall won this is just beyond belief...

He was out of his depth for most of the year, but they give him the best and fairest.

Well, you may see it that way, but there are clearly others who do not.

a very much deserved win. Lance was clearly our best this year and Fev clearly our second best and for that matter scotland and Simpson clearly third and fourth best so the b&f was a very good representation of the years efforts. Congrats Lance you deserved it mate!

Well done Lance Whitnall on winning the John Madra medal, because that's what it's call now ever since Teague won it. There was at least 5 players better then him during the year and one guy kicked nearly half our score.

Round 4 or 5

"After being soundly beaten in the opening quarter at centre-half back on Trent Croad, Whitnall bounced back, but he alone could not stem the Hawks who ran out winners 9.14 (68) to 15.10 (100).

Croad led the way for the Hawks booting 5.3, Such were the fruits of his 17 kicks, 15 marks and five handballs display, he was awarded the David Parkin Trophy for the best player on the ground."

But i guess while the Swans and the Eagles play one on one accountable football we can continue to play the loose man in defence so that Lance can accrue 20 plus possessions and win best and fairest awards.

Does Lance inspire the players to perform better? i would think no.
but let's make him captain anyway.

we are a rabble.. and this is the final proof of it.

My grandmother could run faster than Whitnall - but let's make him captain. Let's do it - cause he has given us 200 games service. Let's do it.

Congratulations to one of the designated scapegoats on a well-deserved B&F.
I can't understand, however, why they would base the award on performances game by game instead of on a straw poll of anonymous internet contributors.

Lance played on Barry Hall in the first round and gave him a bath by playing a loose man in defence

Its supporters like you who like being a loser in life, that accept average performances from the team, there should be a lot of sacking in this club. The medal is one way the club can tell crap to the fans and members on a great year. I wonder who is on the selection board, another bunch similiar to our great recruiting hasbeens.

you have to be smart and by personally attacking these morons they will continue to pile the shit on us because of it.

Kero & Fatprick are licking their lips for yet another chance to dig into us

If you remember Lance went forward after the 1st quarter and kicked 3 goals and was our only tall marking target up forward (as Fev stupidly got rubbed out for a week for a silly reportable offence the week before).
Well done Lance. I thought Fev should have won it but Lance has been very good for us this year.
