Seriously though, he did take a rabble off field and solidified them. We do need someone like him.

I think you need an experienced media performer to lead the group. Someone who is comfortable in the media spotlight and can handle the press. Someone who can sell our name and our club to sponsors, the media, community groups, and supporters and still relate to the everyday fan. We should be able to get a support team of bankers, accountants, football people etc to help with all the day to day work but they need to be able to front the public announcements and put a good spin on the club at every occasion.

ammo, that can be either the coach or the president. But when you think about it, there aren't too many presidents who do all that much media.

interesting how when the bullies had Rhode, smorgon (the good one) did all the media. Now they leave it up to Eade.

Wallace does the richmond media. Daniher does plenty at melbourne. Matthews at Brissie. Saints use thomas, although butters does his fair share. Hawthorn has a president with ADD, so Kennett does heaps for them.

We, of course, have neither. Although Pagan's 'media contract' says otherwise.

Eddie does it at Collingwood and most of the more senior coaches don't have a lot to do with the media so I don't see it as a major drawback if we have someone else to step forward. Maybe we should try and lure Tim Lane either on to the board or a ticket to challenge the existing board?
