Someone on here asked the other day - how would what was happening at the Board level affect our drafts / trades?

I think the question is worthwhile asking again. This is in light of a few things:

1. Pagan knows he is on borrowed time - therefore does he go for short-term fixes to try and strengthen his position?
2. Pagan's time is so borrowed that he may oversee the trading period, but may not see through to the start of the season
3. The Board has seemingly placed the fault of much on-field performance onto the recruting manager

In the light of what is happening, will we be likely to retain the youth focus with our draft picks and trading? Or is everything up for grabs now (eg. Chris Tarrant for draft pick number one or something similar?)?

No way, they'll go youth all the way with their first 3 picks. May go for Gibbs though, as an AFL ready kid, rather than a Hansen, who may not play much in the first year.

French's retirement though is a real pain, it means we MUST draft a ruckman from somewhere, along with MUST draft a mid and a KP back. So possibly a recycled ruckman from somewhere.

The way we are at the moment I can see a sub-committee of 15 reviewing all potential trades and we'll agree to one 3 hours after the final day of trade period. For Gardiner.

This needs to be resolved prior to trade week.
There are too many people looking after themselves at the moment.

This will be the most crucial draft/trade period in our history.

There should be a board and admin draft.

We get first pick of the presidents, so we take West Coast's prez and send them smorgo.

That'd even things up in a hurry.
