So if they're both in the waste management business, and they have a verbal confrontation, would they then be trash talking each other?

Cararra anyone?

Canberra?

Siberia?

Fair comment Danny.....I wouldnt trust the AFL and the more of a mess the club becomes the greater control they can assume and I'm wondering if they wouldnt mind us ending up as another Fitzroy.... and I'd like to know which team Mike Fitzpatrick is batting for.....the AFL or us...

Fitzpatrick works for the AFL. We must assume he is working wiuth their interests at heart but hope that his heart strings are being torn so hard he tries to help.

From the AFL's point of view surely they need a cohesive Board? Or at least the image of one?

Yeah but our interests are the AFLs interests.
If Brown was going to pay out Denis.. and the club didnt have to.. that means the club SAVES 1 mill.. surely thats in the AFLs interests except that the guy they have tried to gun down was doing it?
so theyre allowing personal issues to outweigh common sense and both parties interests.

How can you people critise someone like Fraser Brown.
He is as navy as they come. He stuck up for us when everyone else was too busy looking after themselves. He is now giving his own money to get the club back on it's feet and still people are questioning him. Unbelievable.

There is no way that Evans (get well soon  ) and his puppet Demetrispew would allow Fraser Brown any sort of control/input into Carlton's future.

Brown was the only person with enough guts to stick his finger up at the AFL during their pathetic excuse for an investigation and Brown sticks it up Demetrispew's company (Baxter) every second day of the week on a corporate level.

Their is a lot of ego involved here and "The Spew" hates coming out second best.

One of the major reasons why Collo was outsted was because he didnt want to go to the AFL... some of the others did.

so i wouldnt lump collo in with that lot.

PS .. he was the glue on this board that kept the club together.. with all his faults id prefer to have him right now.
You get vegetables like Valmorbida who got in by 7 votes and clueless Smorgon wanting to be president and vice president and look what happens...

The sooner we get some people with spine on the board the better and the first thing they should do is organise the funding to give the AFL their money back (our money anyway  ) and tell them to @#$%&! off.

There seem to be some pretty serious strings attached to the "loan" that the club has received from the AFL.

I hate the thought that those vindictive pricks are still reaming my club.

All Brown Dog needs to do is get a ticket together. The members will get them in right now.

Then the new ticket can pay off the parasites (AFL) and put this club back where it belongs.

There's another point here that Greg Denham raised on SEN this morning...

Why is it that the Board has to go cap in hand to the AFL for money, yet in as little as 2 weeks, $1 million is raised by ex-players/supporters to oust a coach?

Why wasn't that money accessed 6 months ago to help the club, and to avoid having to beg the AFL???

Because theyre not that dumb to pay a board money to make them look good.

Why would anyone give this board handouts???

what will happen is there will be a challenge of some description.

I think under Collo people wernt as keen to do it.. under smorgon and Valmorbida?? You bet they will take them on...

Can this happen before the AGM ? I really hope its not going to be too hard for all concerned and someone has the balls to do this. Where do I sign man, the quicker the better.

My blood boils when I look at Smorgon.

Look Collos time was up.. he was an accountant. we needed him at the time to see exactly where we were at.. and to stabalise the books.. you cant stay in administration mode forever.. you then have to become more adventurous... so his time was up.. he did what he could.

But then the next lot were completely clueless.

They thought they would get rid of Elliott fix up the club and they will be heros...

But they have no clue... so they have to go.
