The same ones firing shots at Collins at the this years AGM. The same guys who were all over the national news wanting Elliot gone.

The Unofficial Selection Commitee.

PS: I may be wrong :-D

Nah you're right...you just posted it twice on the previous page

All the info posted on this site has a noticeable fluidity to it-- Disenchanted board members want to speak up about the weakness of our board and our President-
those that do are the real Carlton people, because they want to effect change..
Theres no point sitting on our asses and complaining how much of a rabble we are... I'm 100% getting on the phones next week and will try and speak to as many influential Carlton supporting business people as I can get hold of.
Enough is enough.

Razor's account is spot on.

Very unlikely Mitchell will be here next year.

Club has sussed out Voss (but surely he's not that silly).

Nothing surprises me anymore with this circus,

Who knows? Maybe Vossy reckons its a goer as assistant!

Fits the bill

OK, so surely the situation has become so dire, it's vitally important that every voting Carlton member knows the reality of what they're going to vote for at the next AGM.

It's fine for the internet die-hards, but how are those who don't religiously log onto TC et al, supposed to learn the truth?

What can we do to alert them? Because surely it's in every Carlton person's best interest that the entire CFC community knows exactly how their elected board is running their club...

The Herald Sun ad is expensive - junior pages go for around $15,000. That's a lot of dough that'd be better spent on the club itself (assuming we had a board you believed enough in to actually donate money to).

So what do we do? Word of mouth is important - alerting as many people as possible as to the true situation. Talkback radio - odious - but a reasonably powerful medium nonetheless.

Of course, all of this is to little avail unless a suitable alternative to the board puts their hand up. So just in case any of you are first-cousins with any scions of industry... you might want to get on the phones.

As josh, ockham, kenny, etc say - it's THAT serious.

If you were to set up a website and launch proper petitions on TC, TBV, CSC and BF, word of it would get to the media, you may even get some air time with an interview on a radio station or on the footy show, there just has to be a face to go along with it. There needs to be an explanation of what is going on, so uninformed members can see past Pagan vs. reserves coach. sackpagan.com got press and it didn't have a face or a profound message.

Lord help me, lord hear my prayer.......................who were the two board members voting against the proposed sacking?

One particular board member sat there for 6 hours and said not a word. Well, not until late in the evening when she was a tad tired and wanted to go home. Poor thing.

Ah, but she rested enough overnight, to call a few of the playing group Wednesday morning, asking what they thought of the coach.

Professionalism at it's best!

i think the club even may have gone far enough to do something trippy like feel out lyon as well as voss...(a week or so ago).. no interest... DUUUUH....

theyre just tripping.... they want a big name to save their bacon.....because they dont have a clue.

what i want to kno9w is why not just allow a guy like mitch who has the support of the kids in particular and knows our list to develop and grow the list , much in the way clarkson is doing it?

There really needs to be some kind of challenge.

Is it at all possible for members to initiate and then collectively petition some kind of no confidence motion in the present board?

Around 10,000 people visit this site each month.

Most of which would be members. There is a 30-40% reach of membership right there.

I said this to a few people last year, but if those who are wanting to be voted onto the board (those last year) want a way to connect with a large proportion of members in one hit then organise an interview on this site.

Questions would be sent into the moderators the mods would send on the best questions to the candidate and they would send in their responses.

If the candidates last year had done this IMO we would have had at least two new board members instead of one.

I was bitterly dissapointed earlier this year when only one ew board member was voted in.

So if anyone has the ear of any ticket or candidates who want to run tell them to contact the mods of this site and set up some sort of dialogue with the members. This is the easiest and most effective way to communicate with the most diehard and passionate of Carlton supporters.

She obviously doesn't spend too much time around the playing group because if she did there would be no need to ask the players how they felt about the coach............it would be that obvious to her.

And how gullible is she to think that a player would slag the coach over a phone call?

Lord help me......................................................

How reliable is this info? There are so many rumours going around..... not sure what to believe. But no matter if true or not, we need a new Board with strong leadership and a Board that does not leak.....

Some of the stuff on here has been surprisingly quite accurate. Just the Board doing more backflips than a gymnasts just throwing everybody out. And I'm still thinking we haven't heard the end of all this.

Jims right..the info from all our reliable sources has been good its just the situation changes every hour...Smorgon has been caught out very badly with the SOS situation if Gary Lyon's chat with SOS is correct.
This might confirm it more although I've actually given it it's own thread on here.

AFL saved Pagan's job.
Quote:
By 6pm that night the board unanimously voted 10-0 to stick with Pagan and turn its back on coaching contender Barry Mitchell.

That turn around is like Essendon* coming from 43 points down at three quarter time in a final. :?
Quote:
Kernahan was defiant about his commitment to the club last night and refused to step down from the board as the pressure intensified on one of Carlton's all-time greats.

"I am not going to jump off just when the club is rock bottom and I want to help Carlton get back to where it belongs," Kernahan told the Herald Sun.

"The stuff that has been written about me is disgraceful and all I wanted from day one was the best for the Carlton footy club. I was asked to help in the review process but all of a sudden I'm knifing blokes. That is just not true and the decisions made at the club are made by 10 directors, not just me."

Quote:
It's believed the Blues have also approached the management of Brisbane captain Michael Voss to sound him out on a possible assistant's role.

Will he take an IOU?
