I know I have been lambasted by some on here for divulging information that I have gotten hold of, either from first hand evidence or some mail that has landed in my lap. I believe that all Carlton supporters, be they members or not, have the right to know as much detail as possible about the goings on of our football club, particularly in times as fundamentally significant as the events of this past week.

In this sense, I feel greatly saddened that one of our posters has resigned from TC because he believed he had let the other posters down. The truth is, many of us on this site (and sites like these) get bits of info- a lot of what is said comes to fruition, arguably a greater percentage doesn’t, such is life. But the point of a Carlton discussion board (and all discussion boards for that matter) are to disseminate the information supporters get hold of and promote discussion and debate.

I honestly think we are heading into very murky waters when a poster (whose info supplied was pretty much spot on until a 24th hour backflip) falls on his sword when his bit of mail doesn’t pan out the way hypothesised.

Having said all that, I feel it is my duty to propound to anyone who wants to read the fallout of this past week.

a) We all know the final outcome- Pagan safe, Elshaug, Mulkearns and Liberatore out.

Question 1) What is going to happen to Mitch?

As far as I know, Mitchell has called Pagan today in an attempt to make the situation for 2007 with some semblance of tenability. Mitch was obviously thrown around as much as DP was over the past few days, and has his sights sets on taking the Bullants to a flag and then focusing on 2007 with the Blues. Again, nothing is set in stone vis a vis Pagan and Mitchell’s working relationship, but it is in the best interests of the club for our two most senior coaches to have as amicable a relationship as possible.

Question 2) SOS’s role?
SOS and the members of the Brown ticket have grown a considerable distance apart, a phenomenon that is by no means a recent one. Williams and Kernahan, in particular, viewed SOS’s defection to the Pies as an Assistant as an affront to the Blues, but the issues are more complex than that. As many on here are aware, SOS has ambitions to coach the Blues and thought it was as opportune a time as ever to jump on board, considering the fragile Pagan situation. His opportunism has further alientated members of the Brown ticket against him.

Question 3) The fate of the board

The directors I have contact with have not heard “anything concreteâ€

Keep the info coming Josh, those who choose not to listen don't have to read your threads but as I've stated before people like yourself and Synbad have been on the money more often than not, so you'll get my ear.

I didn't know about the resignation...was there a payout? I think you're taking yourslef a bit too seriously if you 'resign' from a Carlton fansite. Whoever they are - perhaps they can have a big preseason over at TBV or BigFooty and we might redraft them over the summer! I wish them well.

Otherwise Josh - good post - keep 'em coming.

Great - so we keep Pagan because SOS is coming and now SOS isn't coming?

:?

Just reported on SEN that SOS won't be an assistant.

If true - great move by Pagan...but another sad day for the fans.

Which begs the question, did Pagan have a say in SOS' future at the club as a coach?

Thanks Josh.

Very over-dramatic about EB 'leaving'.

He will be back, leaving the site is a speciality of his.

Pagan is blessed.

He's managed to dodge a bullet and obtain board support just 24 hours ago by using Silvagni as a human shield, and now this.

Another day, another embarrassment.

I've got three Kevin Heaths.

Anyone want to trade?
