Yeah that's right 'Synners', I'm the ignorant one. I admit, I have no idea what is involved with coaching an AFL club, running an AFL club, development of AFL players or for that matter, a VFL team.

But you do?

Of course. You've told everyone here that you do (seven and a half f**cking thousand times) - so you must.

From now on, let's not choose experienced, successful business or football people to run our club, let's just choose the person that has the most posts an an internet fan forum!!!! Go on Synners, throw your hat into the ring. No experience, but 7,500 posts! Move aside the Smorgon Family, Sticks, Pagan etc - how many posts have they had on here?? Laughable!!

Seriously Synbad. Everyone is entitled to an opinion on how the Club is run. Members are even entitled to vote for who runs the Club. But, for you to sit behind your keyboard and continuosly take shots at people who have put time and effort into running our club for little financial reward (certainly when compared to their personal wealth) smacks of jealousy.

Tell me, do you resent all successful people?

Oh, and you still haven't told me how you're going finding the board members who are going to personally guarantee the financial future of our club. Forget about that did you? Or still working on your ticket?

Give us all a break and go and give your 'support' to another team.

I find it quite funny that some people here are slagging off at Caro, the messenger.

Specially when all she is doing is putting into much better words what many of you are saying in here.

The words she has written appear to be consistent with what those of you with inside info are saying. You all agree this has been handled like a circus.

Clearly there have been people on all sides talking to the media.

And the last line of the initial article I listed in the first post here is fair enough.

I am certain Pagan has been doing all he can, to the best of his ability, to improve the team and move towards success. I am also certain that in his own mind he believes he needs to carry on and that he has been on the right track.

If you want patsies for the media circus, have a look in the right place, the people leaking the information.

And of course, some of those leaks have been occurring right here.

of course, any change or sacking was always going to be some kind of circus, such is the nature of the game. This one has just been handled badly by all manner of people, and the press have not really had much work to do.

I bet the fitness coach had a contract too...which the Board chose to cancel...after considering the options. See how it works??

What's this garbage about the Board doing backflips and being indecisive? All I heard from the Board was that they were reviewing all coaching staff - which they did - and announced their decision. Sure there was probably spirited discussions behind closed doors, and their preferences may have been swayed. But they never changed their public stance. If you would prefer a Board that made decisions on limited information and refused to be persuaded by better information, then maybe you're the ingnorant one?

According to all the media reports..Sticks did the biggest backflip of all time...after throwing his lot in with Brown/Gleeson and co and pushing up for Mitchell..he got cold feet and supported Pagan at the last miniute and hung poor Barry Miitchell out to dry....Mitchell will end up being the fall guy and Sticks gets to survive and do it all again...
\
\Nah Caro got to Sticks.. you have to understand Sticks likes to be liked by EVERYONE.. so Caro said "He will be remembered as having Pagans blood on his hands"

And Sticks shit himself...

Sticks is a great guy and whoever owns the remote control to Sticks is the boss of this club... so if you control the remote you too can run this footy club...

A Richmond person - Caro - dictating to Sticks how the club should be run...

Doesn't sound good to me. Contrast that to Harris and mates who had no trouble making the tough decisions back in the 60's...

Yet maybe Caro wants carlton to be a basket case...

I don't! We're an easy target because we're financially stuffed and wooden spooners again. Everyone's having a crack because they can.

I think every board is entitled to ask questions of their staff and are equally entitles to be happy with the response - or not.

Geelong haven't had success for 60 odd years - the media should be camped outside their pathetic club dreaming up a crisis.

They were but you can only sell 80,000 papers in Geelong - you sell over 500,000 in Melbourne.

How does keeping your coach = "failing to support the coach".

Caro should stop pre-writing her stories and wait until the decisions at board level are made. It's interesting how many of the journos out there and posters on here who claim to have 'inside sources' at the club failed to predict the outcome of last night's meeting.

But we are a basket case in so many ways. Its hard to digest all this with so many sub plots and so many ways to look at so many things.I agree with Sinners that kernahan is not suited to the position he is in because he cant make hard decisions and stick by them.

The bottom line in all this is if Pagan's contract was up now it would have been over 6 weeks ago.Whilst I think Mitchell is a good coach I think there is other potential candidates and a full survey of all candidates would be needed.

There has been a fair degree of lunacy in all this.I am glad in a way that Pagan has stayed on as we have made enough stupid financial decisions to then pay a guy a mill for sacking him.And to promote Mitchell like this would be a silly rushed decision.

From it all a lot of good may come from it.For the first time in his coaching life Denis has had the wind well and truly thrown up his arse.If the team has another wooden like spoon season in 2007 then The club has far more clout to sack him .DP has been put on notice and must change. Maybe he will. As for SOS coming on board I hope he is a better coach than commentator. The guy is as about exciting as a toilet roll holder and I think its pretty flower rich of him to be singing out ultimatives saying he will only come on board if Allen is brought in.

In conclusion all this may be just what the club needs. At least we have one positive thing in all this. That prick Elliott isnt organising all this.Caro highlighted what an arrogant arsehole he is with Jack's treatment of Brittian . Wayne must be laughing at us 4 years on

Do you seriously think what has happened is supportive of the coach?

It's clearly not what the Board was wanting to do.
