I have never heard so much shit dribbling on this site as I have over the past 3 days.

This persons heard this, that persons funding this but only on condition of certain actions, I spoke to a director and he told me this.....on and on it goes. Very entertaining.

Fact 1: Pagan has a contract and as much as I think this board and admnistration are as week as piss they have made the only decison they could.

Fact 2: The senior coach is only part of the tapestry. A vibrant/relevant contingent of assistants can make all the difference. Sheedy has proven this over 25 years. Get exceptional assistants in and turn them over regulary. Blind Freddy could see that our assistants were below 2nd rate. I would rather spend $1m on getting 3 quality assistants n for 2007 than pay Pagan out!

Pagan, with a the right assistants can start the process. He's gone in 2008 regardless but who knows. Is Silvagni one of those quality assitants? Not IMO. Are Longmire, Harvey, Voss (if available), Kemp etc what is needed? Who knows.

What I do know is that all the assistants need to go step 1 and then Pagan step 2. The only rational sensible way to go.

The person to blame is Collo. He signed the 3 year deal and lead us to the TD. His crowning achiements!

jimmae, there are people posting here who do have various relatively reliable lines of contact around the Club. And the things they have been posting are consistent with observations.

I'm not sure where your information comes from, but I reckon it is not from anyone at the Club.

I'm speculating using history as a guide, and I more often than not manage to say as much too, HP.

I have seen what these guys have had to say in the past, but if I may be so bold, I'd like to suggest that maybe in the post-Elliot era they've only been told what those feeding the information (or who in turn gave their informants the info) want them to repeat.

Blind faith can be a weapon and a weakness.

good to hear that the assistants are going, let's get our old legends in as assistants, they won't be afraid to say no to Pagan unlike the current ones.

The AFL stated the other day they wouldn't intervene so I don't know who to believe anymore. :?

My sources tell me that the fact that the AFL were in da house allowed them to understand how bad things really were and that they wouldnt interfere.
In fact Watts feelings were we had a big crisis than at any time at StKilda while he was there...(I think that includes the Blight episode)

Synbad, don't get shitty at me because you were gullable enough to believe that the answer was sacking Pagan with money funded by Fraser Brown on condition that we appoint Mitchel.

I mean lets face it any board that accepted that would be below incompetant.

My position on this matter has not changed for months. Get rid of the assistants first then tackle the Pagan problem.

Can you clarify that KH?

I know you can't name names, but can you list figures or percentages?

That's one of those sweeping statements that gets shot down on here quite a bit.

Why was i gullable ???

We couldnt stay at Optus now could we???

Dont get shitty cos you have an MCC membership and there are not many Carlton games there or finals games...

and getting rid of Pagans assistants makes no difference.

There is a story (Dont know if its true) but it goes like this... When Libba came to the club and tried to tell Denis something about an observation... Denis said "Go get me a coffee"...

Now that might be urban folklore.. but thats more or less how he ran the show.

Craig was Ayres right hand man too... but what influence did he have???

You were gullable because you thought that was the answer.

Are you seriously saying that the board should have accepted Browne's supposed offer? You confirmed it last night after Italian Styles posted it.

Because if you actually bought that as a solution then you are not as clever as I thought.

You supported the Collins Borad tooth and nail because they were pissing in your pocket. Now you call Collo a back stabber. You can't have it booth ways big fella.

I think it might have been Italian Blue, not italian_styles who mentioned it.
