Im into my own history here.

a) Pagan can't coach - nah!

b) Lacks the cattle to coach - nah

c) Doesn't want to win until we have 18 top 5 picks running around - zing zing zing!!!!!

I think the decision should be only made on whether Pagan stays or goes. The coaching position - with Mitchell as the fall back position - can be sorted out later, hopefully in a more professional manner.

I fear our footy club is being run by Auditors.....and will be for the next 5 year, or to the end (6 years?)

So in other words it really WAS jobs for the boys.

Sticks and Bear wanted to sack Pagan to appoint Mitchell. But they'd rather keep Pagan than appointed someone other than Mitchell. Absurd

This board has to be held accountable for leading their supporters on an absolute merry dance to nowhere
I dont think they even realise how damaging the past 48 hours has been for this footy club
I also cant tell you how close we were to seeing the back of Pagan...

I guess the best possible result now for the CFC would be for a new board, Pagan to stay as long as he has new assistants working under him..

Where did anyone suggest that Pagan would be 'sacking' Sticks and Bear?

But if they've made a recommendation as big as sacking the coach, and to have the rest of the board outvote them, maybe they might, of their own volition, choose to no longer be part of the current board?

I'm only speculating...

You wouldn't think the football department could function properly when the coach doesn't have the support of the Chairman of Selectors. It's a real f$%^ up. If they've got the financial backing they have to let him go.

Nowhere. I just made the analogy to show who has the power in this struggle. Pago Pago certainly doesn't have too much power. However, it seems he may have saved his neck for a little while longer.

Sticks has been through a lot worse than this. He bleeds Navy Blue and has the support of 85% of the members. He is not going anywhere. Besides he gets the chance to work with his mate's son next year. ;)

3AW news said Smorgan is expected to front the media scrum "shortly". Given how today has gone, that probably means that Smorgan went home 2 hours ago.
