Sticks never has to walk out. He is on the board as long as he and the constitution wants. The members will vote him back in any time.

On Gleeson why would he have to walk given that the Board invited him in?

Would their combined positions be tenable with Pagan if they want him out and he stays?

If I am working in the executive part of the business and I know 2 Directors have it in for me, I have no power to remove them. It would be more about being untenable for me. But then I have the contract hastily put together because the Wizard Cup win proved that we were on the way up, especially after 2004.

2004....2004...so many unnecessary wins...look what else you've done to us.

Seems certain there won't be a decision tonight. It's true, some directors have been spooked by the media hype.
It was all in place. Money had been pledged. Ex-players were ready to roll.
It's still not over, but Den Den seems safer now than at any time today.

Kenny, was the vote 'Pagan out' or 'Pagan out, Mitchell in'?

Well Sticks may not get invited into the coaches box on match day any more, but Pago Pago can hardly sack him as he is voted into his position by the members.

What Sticks and Bear are recommending is still only speculation at the moment. Only the people in that meeting really know what is going on.

that's just how it stands at the moment. much could _ and hopefully will - change, some directors also concerned Mitchell was not the right man. SOS, McKenna and Harvey have all been spoken to but seems "Backflip" Sticks and Bear favoured Mitchell.

Where did anyone suggest that Pagan would be 'sacking' Sticks and Bear?

But if they've made a recommendation as big as sacking the coach, and to have the rest of the board outvote them, maybe they might, of their own volition, choose to no longer be part of the current board?

I'm only speculating...

Nobody will decide anything, that will be the decision, I feel sorry for Denis.

He will hold the job only by financial default..

Mitchell is well and truly on th eouter after this and the anti-Pagans will sit around saying "told you so".

No winners here..

(esp me, who will sign off forever tonight)

The test of any good leadership is its ability to make hard decisions. This board seems to have failed miserably in that area especially if the media hype is spooking them.

Well the silver lining is if Pagan stays then we will definitely get Pick 1 and 2 in the 2007 National Draft, and I'm not sure what emoticon to stick on the end of that sentence.
