Oh well. I suppose it's another year of pagan pissing down our backs and telling us it's raining.

Mitch would now have to get the arse too.

What a fabulous outcome.

If true, time to vote this spineless, clueless board out of our club.

Hutchy on AW says Kernahan & Gleeson said on way in to meeting that Denis will coach next year.

But Mitchell will not.

Can't be business as usual.

Press conferences aren't held for nothing.

3AW is making it sound like Pagan is surviving (barely) because the rest of the board aren't convinced Mitchell is the right man.

Caro thought it was significant (didn't see it myself). She & hutchy both confident Denis will stay.

It really is just amazing. I am not sure whether I want him to stay or go, but to involve the media and create a circus around this evening's meeting does not reflect well on the club. Either something has changed in the past 24 hours or we seriously are a rudderless ship. If anything the club is now more divided than it was before the review of the football dept commenced and we could end up losing the one guy who seems to have a good rapport with the younger players.

Oh, it's not business as usual, Deano.

We're going to hold a press conference stating that we're keeping the double-spooner Denis, and ditching Mitchell - the guy who coached our 2nds to the top of the table, and the guy who's been spending the most amount of time with our most important asset: our young players.

Not a lot of clubs would do that. So I guess you could say it's far from usual.

I think Caro has guilted Sticks into supporting Pagan with her article today. It's all part of her cunning plan. Bitch.

Come off it please! As if you could sack an AFL Coach without the press circus? Did you watch the Geelong news clips - its the same down there. The press smell a story and are there for the news...its as simple as that.

And do you think Mitchell would have stayed if that hadn't have happened? By reports over the past month the two are at odds so something had to break.

Mitchell is a good coach, don't worry about that. He was coaching high school teams when he was still playing so it's not like he is new to the caper. He has worked his way up through the system and his results this season in the VFL speak for themself. I know it's a it's a big jump to the AFL but I'm confident he can help bring some good results our way.

Without weighing in one way or the other on the whole coaching issue, do you really think that the fact that Mitchell was coaching high school teams qualifies him for the Carlton job?? Because that seems to be what you're implying.

If that's the case, then I have a few other candidates for you.....

My semi-retired oldman could do a better job running this club from his lounge room with his background. But I'm not sure if he could defeat a ticket with the owner of the Art Gallery on it.

My point is that if you didn't have the numbers to get rid of him, why go down the path and raise the issue in the first place. It makes the board look spineless and further divides the club.
