I dont know too much about him, but he should definately be interviewed AFAIC.

Didn't he play under Pagan? Wasn't he one of Pagan's lovechilds ?

I wonder how much of Pagan's style has rubbed off on him.

Has also worked under other coaches and has had a chance to work under different coaching approaches. Paul Roos an example

Longmire - Forwards (experience with Sydney - premiers 05/06?).
Ratten - Midfield (experience with Melbourne and in the EDFL).
Silvagni - Defence (Experience as a part-timer with the Dogs).

Dean - Bullants (?)

Bradley & Williams part-time skills coaches (no coaching experience, bar Braddles one-day stint at St. Kilda)

Then we need a top-notch football manager / performance manager. Sheldon?

Hughes is a pretty good recruiter I reckon, and Col can stay as in his player-welfare role.

It'd be nice if we had one new non-carlton person on-board.

Lets have a bidding war.

Phone the Carlton Football Club and state your minimum salary if interested in coaching.

Don't think Longmire would be calling for an assitant coaching role behind super coach Barry.

Again - I'd take what you're saying with a grain of salt...an assistant coach of the reigning premiers with a family firmly entrenched in Sydney on the eve of a finals campaign puts a call through to a board member of the Carlton Football Club on the eve of a board meeting! Well...I'm sure he would have been interviewed anyway - and if he could bring back Ross Lyon with him - that'd be even better (top bloke and very good coach)...but being a betting man - I reckon JOHN (since when was he 'Johnny'???) Longmire will stay a Swan.

How do you assess whether Mitchell or Longmire is the best coach for our list? How do you compare a specialist coach for a succesful team versus a reserves / sometime specialist coach for a successful reserves team and struggling senior team?

Is it a Q&A, comparison of development methodologies?

Now what do you think about Longmire as a potential coach Dr Sherrin? I personally think, as I posted earlier, that he could prove to be a better prospect than even Mitchell.

I don't think you've thought this one through Josh...best go back to the drawing board...I am resigned to the fact after reading many of your posts, that you're just a kid who has nothing better to do with his time than create a few posts that aren't really newsworthy at all seeing as they've been brought up on radio talkback over the last 12 months.

Dr - why don't you put people down somewhere else? I haven't heard too many suggestions about Longmire going to Carlton over the last 12 months.
