not sure if this has been posted yet but the age has an article quoting Malouf - he basically says review is under way. The key thing is that he hasn't stated that Pagan is safe - there is definately a real chance now that he might go.
Surely the club has had the chance to come out and support him and state that we will honour his contract - I think he is gone

I agree. There is a full page article in the HUN saying we're going to sack Pagan and replace him with Mitchell. If Pagan has the club's support then they can't ignore that, they have to respond to it.

If they can't/won't respond then it's true.

LMAO! How about his tone? I think it's safe to say he's in the Mitchell camp.

There only response is that they are conducting a review, this means that his job is under review also, massive show of no confidence, even Geelong were saying that Bummer Thomas's contact would be honoured

I would prefer if the question was asked to and answered by a Gerard Healy type who after an extensive review of the club could give an independant response.

You can hang your hat on a response from Digby, Sticks, Bear etc. I can't and I won't. I want someone to have a look no strings attached.

Geelong is just waiting to see whether Pagan is on the market

How is this any different to Fevola supporting Pagan?

Why don't we wait for this so-called review to finish.

If I give you the sack and pay your contract out, I'm honouring the contract. Hollow words.

Digby Morell isnt a Carlton player. He was sacked by Pagan.
Lets ask McKenrnan what he thinks.

I am not a convert to the Mitchell cause. I prefer someone who has AFL experience Longmuir/Mckenna or stick with pagan

I'm not hanging my hat on anything Woof.
I'm just passing on the "vibe" of the interview.
It's good to get the opinion of all involved.
even the ones who dont give the answers you want to hear!

Not to mention, I posted a week ago that an independent review was vital.

http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB2/vi ... c&start=30

I still thought Digby's response was entertaining. :-D

For a start its LONGMIRE not Longmuir, also I think you will find that Mitchells experience vs McKennas/Longmires is quite similar. Unofortunately we have to factor in the cost involved, Mitchell would probably take the job for what we are paying Libba to be an assistant.

Just having Denis leave will lift a weight of the whole squads shoulders.

The guy is loathed by just about everyone.. and Trout even more so.

Any chance of Diggers making it back onto the list under Mitchell? :P

The only opinion that is worthwhile is from people who have no emotional involvement. I want to hear those opinions. I am very happy for change providing they are made with no emotional strings attached. One of the key players in the review is somewhat responsible for the contract that is in place with our current coach.

I agree but not such a good example.

Healy's an old teammate of Mitchell's.
