Is there a "no sex" rule the night before the big match?

I *wish* I had runners, or footy boots... I only own one pair of shoes...

And bullshit I'm turning down sex if it's on offer, just coz of a game! (Never mind that it *is* the night before the game, and nothing's on offer...)

You're a good good man KK, supplying Gatorade...

As for getting burnt... I'm going to a Dragons game after it, so I don't mind being partially red / white on my skin... Even if it hurts later...

Dude, you should have seen me the Monday night after the last game I went to...had the shakes something awful. Definitely not an experience I'd like to repeat.

Timewise, Gonz and I are catching a train from Waterfall (either the 11:23 or 11:53 - getting to Central at 12:22 or 12:52 respectively) which leaves us time for lunch before walking down to Moore Park for the game. Unless of course someone wants to give us a lift...

Nah, thought not.

See you all there tomorrow guys. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering what sort of player I am, this is from an old thread in Stuff:

- I'm too light and skinny

- I've got worse hands than Adrian Deluca
- I've got a worse engine than Eddie Betts
- I was generally a back pocket - we don't need them
- Most important of all...I might get drafted by Collingwood or Essendon*!

I should be playing for Nick's with that profile! :-D

Well I got no sex last night and KK still managed to injure himself.

Before the match even started.

I am so proud.

He still played of course.

I won't say who won, I'll leave that to the boys themselves.

But I can say that everyone had a lot of fun.

TC vs RWO Forum Match - Match Report

2pm Moore Park there was a big showing of Carlton players and despite and an unfortunate lack of Swans players KK and his best mate faced up against each other as opposing captains and picked teams from the available players, which ended up being 12 a side.

There were the standard greetings as players who have only conversed via TC introduced themselves to each other and then it was down to the serious stuff. There was a moment when it was thought that KK wouldn't be able to play due to having his finger dislocated during the warm-up. Faced with the loss of their inspirational leader the Bluebaggers steeled themselves and set out onto the field for the first in what is hoped to be many Carlton vs Sydney Forum matches. With his re-located finger strapped, KK braved the pain and took to the field.

The match was played on a stunning Sydney Spring arvo, with temperatures in the high 20s.

After the TC boys kicked the opening goal the RWO team rallied and opened up a handy lead only to see that lead being whittled down to a mere 3 points at quarter time. 4.4.28 to TC's 4.1.25

The next quarter was a much better quarter for the TC team with contributions all around the ground especially from Alastair down back, and Robert and Mark in the mid-field who seemed to be under every pack and in every play. As were Fullmont and Italian_Styles and TC ran away establishing a healthy margin kicking 6 goals to a solitary 1 in that quarter.

The match was played under slightly abbreviated conditions due to the heat but the TC players seemed to have the better legs in the long run and kicked another 6 goals in the third quarter. Fullmont, I_S, and Luke playing out of full-forward were involved in almost every single play, and while the third quarter was a more even affair The Blues notched up an impressive victory 16.3.99 to RWO's 9.9.63, 4 of Sydney's goals were kicked in the last quarter.

There were outstanding efforts and contributions across the ground and everyone was involved with goal-kicking or assisting at some stage with many of the goals being created by the tenacity of Sydney Blue down back linking through Robert and Mark in the mid-field. MarkNo3 creating opportunities for everyone up forward. Almost everyone got on the scorer's sheet including KK - who was wasteful with one of his kicks, spraying one kick on the run out of bounds on the full, yet kicked truly with another - and other first-time players like Matt -who Mrs K thinks is hot. The real hero of the day however was Fullmont who not only was a damaging force in the ruck choosing to grab and run at many bounces, but also scored 7 majors himself.

Both teams retired to The Bat and Ball Hotel for mutually celebratory ales.

B.O.G. Fullmont, Italian_Styles, Luke, Robert, Mark, Big Al down back, MarkNo3 and Sydney Blue.

Special Mention to Deano, who performed admirably as goal umpire, as well as sledging TC team members.

Some pics to follow soon.

FINAL SCORE:
TC: 16.3.99
RWO: 9.9.63

What KK didn't mention was him having a push and shove with the smallest bloke from the opposition. Gutless Eliot!

In all seriousness, a great day. Thanks to all who organised and turned up. Hopefully the first of many.

With a bit of luck there'll be a similar result tomorrow. 8)

GO BLUES!

Is it my fault that my friend, who specifially wanted to play against me, is a shortarse?

Yes.

Special mention to Gonz who held his own despite having only kicked a footy for the first time today. His ruckwork in the last quarter had shades of Mark Porters debut years ago

Oh, and ffs, at least buy some runners Gonz! It was a game of footy, not a flower job interview!

Bloody oath!

As supercoach Gibson would say: "Played strong, done good"

It was great to finally see some of the guys but I've got parts of my body hurting me that I didn't even know I had

It was a good day despite the lack of numbers from RWO (their cheer squad had more members than players)

Stand out was Fulmont baggin 7 goals and playing ruck .

Italian Styles took the mark of the day and Luka took a good grab in the last .

Toss up between Fulmont and Gez for goal of tha day

Enjoyed the beers afterwards

PS how KK played with that finger is beyond me

Pure. Guts.

But when he was dropped home by Matt (on whom I now have a crush), KK told me there would be no "action" until his hand was better.

So he's not really that strong a 'player' now is he?

That, or he is searching for excuses not to fulfill his manly duties.

Hmm.

Oh dear.

I'll just shuffle off back to Stuff now.
