Yup, just the 1 night.

I have a mate in Syd who I told about this game and he wants to play, but because he is a Swans fan he wants to play for them. Might try and get him to do me a fav and play with us.

KK asked me to tell you that he has two more players to offer up:
Matt (Blues fan raring to go, 'bout 5'8"-5'10", about 75kg, might suit a wing position if any are vacant).
David (Nth Melb fan, about 5'6", about 80kg, desperate to smash some Swans fans, not sure where he'd be suited but he's looking forward to playing).

Do we want to put in a call to the NSW Carlton Supporters Club to be there on the day and give us some 'home crowd support'?

Mrs K signing off.

I am definitely in town now for both games. Apart from myself there is not really anyone else who would play from the NSW Carlton Supporters club. I have cricket training between 10am and 1 pm on Sat. Tried trawling through the replies to find the time, date and place. Can somone pm me with the details? Will try and get another bloke as well. I haven't played or touched a footy since 2000.

i dont think the venue is 100% just yet but its looking like 2pm on the training ground outside the SCG.

the more people we can ruffle up the better, doesn't matter what skill level they are at as it's only a bit of fun anyway.

My cricket ground is used for Aussie Rules and the posts are still up. Not sure whether they will be in two weeks though. The ground is Alan Davidson Oval and is literally 5 minutes north of the airport at the junction of St Peters, Newtown and Alexandria. It is hard to get to for most in Sydney but if the team is made up of mostly supporters from out of town, it is a viable option if we do not get the SCG no.2 ground. Once fielding practice has finished it will be clear from 1pm.

There's this bloke called Shayne Hayne who might be in town for the NRL game. Considering how little he knows about that code, he should be an AFL expert! :-D

Look out Sydney, fullmont, IS & Lukablue have their airfares booked so there's no escaping them now!!!

I've decided to stay in melbourne & watch a realy team - the bullants start their finals campaign & I don't want to miss that!!

We still need a ground to play on, but apart from that it's all looking the goods.

Do we have a ground yet has anyone thought of Jubilee Oval and is it available or maybe one of the Uni blokes could organise the ground at the UNI in Kensington or at Camperdown

The only other AFL field that we have is the Bat & Ball field (corner of
Cleveland St and South Dowling Street). It is smaller than Bus Loop but
may be okay for a casual game.

It is available for the 2 or 3 September.

Anybody?
