nice one, should be a sweet weekend.

really looking forwrad to having a run, although i've been suffering from shin splints from indoor soccer, so i've been resting my legs the last few weeks.

but i've been started working out again to try and get some sort of fittness up.

as for the tickets i might just ring up the club and see if i can book them over the phone, or atleast see if i can fax in the form.

will keep you posted.

i'll probably try and get a hotel somewhere in between randwick and moore park then i guess. not to stressed where i stay.

i'll be bussing it up and getting dropped off at central. it there a train line that comes out anywhere near the scg or randwick?

Central station is a 20 minute walk to the SCG through Surry Hills.

I'm not sure of the Bus number, but I'm sure there are probably half a dozen routes which pass by the SCG and Randwick/Kensington

On gameday, there are special buses that go from Chalmers St Central Station to the SCG, they leave like every 5 minutes, or when the bus is relatively full.

If you want to bus to Randwick, the 37x (x= a number, can't remember exactly) is the bus you want. Tell the driver you want to get off as close to the corner of the junction of Avoca and High Streets, or drop you off as close to "The Spot" as possible.

awesome thanks clem, are you going to have a run for us?

racking up my post count in here, you guys can probably tell i'm pretty eager for this.

Clint, just booked 4 tickets for you guys (plus one for myself) , also booked myself in for the prematch.

the booking probably wont get processed until next week some time, so let me know if there are any additions/changes.
the tickets will get mailed to me from the club so i'll be able to give them to you guys when i see you.

for anyone else interetsed in booking you can do so over the phone by calling the membership dept on 1300727981 but you will need a credit card.
those want to sit with the Canberra supporters club, just mention this when you book. we are getting the $25 bay 17 seats.
bay 16 and 17 are the only ones available through the club anyway so you'll be sure to be amongst other blues fans.

It is with deep regret that I shan't be able to have a run with you blokes. That weekend filled up pretty quickly from a few months ago... :(

I hope that's not a further sign you're becoming one of THEM.

Something extra to keep in mind - in NRL, the Dragons are up against the Roosters at the SCG (the game was originally scheduled for Aussie Stadium next door, but has been moved to the SCG) on the Saturday night. There will definitely be First Grade at 7:30, and Jersey Flegg (third-tier, possibly at 5:30), and I'm not sure what the SCG facilities will be like in terms of availability around that. (I don't *think* Premier League will be playing on the day, since it is a Newtown home game against the Dragons, so should be separate at Henson Park)

Anyway...

As Clay mentioned, I'm one tall bastard, standing at 200cm (6'6"). Weight probably around the 85kg mark. And you'll have to forgive my elementary knowledge of the rules...

And one final thing... I will more than likely be wearing a Dragons jersey, because I'll be going to the game (as my priority). Only problem here: Dragons' jerseys are red and white. Anyone who's worn a Dragons jersey through Melbourne and has been met with cries of "Go you Swannniiiiies" knows how annoying this can be. I'm sure the Swans supporters will know the difference, but even if a backup plan can't be constructed then so long as you know in advance, before finding one of your own wearing red & white

You're our Ruck, boyo!!

And as far as no knowledge of the rules goes, it hasn't hurt Goldsphincter or Gieschen.

You wear red and white, and I'll set bnz and I_S on you

I think the plan is to get a few spares there on the day. Failing that, i've got a Navy Carlton polo shirt you can wear.

This always help to get ppl fired up........

The TC Team Sheet......

FB:- Mark's Irsh mate, KK's Client Mate, The Halford
HBF:- Mark's Crows Mate, KK's Fit 6'4 mate, KK's HBF/WING/HFF mate.
C:-................ , Gezman, ................
HFF:- Matress, Italian_Styles, KK's Seagull mate
FF:- KK, BkueBull, Sydeny Blue
Follwers:- Gonz, Fullmont, lucablue

Eski Protection/Coach's:- Deano & MarkNo3

It's alot easier to play a game a footy with the wings cut out, but if we get more players we can put them on the wings or move them around.

If ppl are not happy with there posi, let me know where your best place and we can shuffle it around. There is 4 qtrs so we can all shuffle around so ppl get a fair chance to kick a goal.

Mark and KK, can we get some names for your mates? And are they a good chance to play??

Getting excited now.

Mate, she's trying her darndest, but it's not working. She knitted me a blue and white scarf, however, and that will be worn to the game - and I'm going to remind her that SHE knitted it for me! :)

No, I can't stand Swans supporters (my dearest aside) - I'll be the one screaming my head off in the Ladies' Stand, screaming BALL whenever we lay a tackle (which going by this season, won't be very often at all....)

*Updated Team*

BlueBull is also out, he is pretty busy at work and cant get the time off he needs.

FB:-.............. / KK's Client Mate / Halford
HBF:- Pubes /................ / Shaun
C:- ............. / Gezman / .............
HFF:- Matress /............. / KK's Seagull Mate
FF:- KK / Italian_Styles / Sydeny Blue
Foll:- Gonz / Fullmont / lucablue

1 more player would be very handy, should be ok to play with a 5 man foward line.

Gez, will anybody else coming up from ACT play?

okay cool.

i've asked a mate from work if he would be interested in joining us, and he seems kinda keen but i probably wont know until the week of the game.

he said he will play if he decides to come up but he's never kicked a footy before.

i take it you guys are flying home sunday evening? (staying only one night?)
