I may be able to get another Carlton supporter mate/client to join in - family commitments dependent: he has a newborn.

And I may be able to get one or 2 ringers too.

I'll let you know.

No drama about numbers, we just cut out the wings.

If it's 10 on 10, thats ok, KK might have to have a run on the ball.

Sounds good to me.

And, Fullmont, my idea of me being on the ball is when I fall in a heap on top of it

And more importantly, how do we work out any sort of tactics with effectively 2 teams?

I don't think tatics will be needed, we turn up, have a warm up kick, meet each other, stand in a circle befor the game and all just say where you think the best posi is for you. It's alil hard cause we don't really know each other. Play the 1st qtr and make changes at qtr time and during the qtr when we have a better of how ppl are going.

OR

I am happy to draw up a quick team based on what numbers we have atm, just a lil more info about peoples mates who are playing will be a help.

Gez, I'm OK to play. I'm just a bit fat and unfit....maybe I can use strapping tape to hold the gut in...

My client/friend (Carlton supporter) is good to play. He can get a ringer as well (he's also got a spare jumper, either for the ringer or someone else.

Just found out that unfortunately the ringer won't be Craig Nettlebeck or Brad Seymour, both of who he used to know, and played some social matches for.

I'm 181cm, 93kg. OK leg speed....the rest would be a bit of a lottery...

My friend/client is about 190cm (6'3") and my guess would be 90kgish. Fiter than me, but that's no real surprise.

whoops sorry KK i thought i had read that you couldn't play but could umpire. maybe that was mark? probably was mark.
190cms? nice we have a ruckman ;-)

my fittness aint too flash. i didnt run much last game, and i've been battling shin splints the last few months. i'll be right to play however, although i'm going to look retarded playing in skins and a headgear! lol

good point to raise clint.

it would be tops if everyone could sit together, but the reality is thats not going to happen. still i'm sure a largeish portion of us could sit together.

i need to speak to bluey95 (the prez of the canberra supporters group) cause we are organising a bus load of people up on sunday mroning for the pregame/game so i might be sitting with them.

i think there is a reasonably large GA section at the scg, but it's been years since i've been there.

I've got one more. He plays footy for Macquarie Uni, usually plays HBF/wing/HFF (he's 6' ish and quite light-framed). Says he's up for it. Doesn't have a jumper, though.

In terms of seating, I will most likely be in the MA Noble stand, as I've got a few friends who are SCG members, and they'll be taking me and a few friends along.

We should arrange a suitable post-match watering, so we can all congregate there and celebrate a) the end of an awful year, b) a nice last-gasp win over the Bandwagons, c) the future looking bright.

Thank God for that

Saturday's good for me. I'll be going to the Dragons game with Gonz (who will be playing as well) afterwards, so it's all good.

I'm 180 cm, 60 kg, not overly quick or fit (haven't played since a junior GF in 2001) but I'd probably be best on a flank.

Gonz is tall (say...195? I don't bloody know) and amazingly unco. Perfect fullback. :-D

As for seating, I haven't figured out that little wrinkle yet. Will have to buy a ticket for Gonz as well so we'll probably be in the cheap seats amongst the unwashed masses. :(
