I have just posted on the RWO board trying to reignite interest so that we can organise the game properly.

I have remined all that it is a social game open to both genders and have suggested playing on the oval outside the SCG at around 10am on Sunday which allows us time to play, tidy up a bit and have a few drinks before the main game starts and we turn on each other.

I have asked them to either post on the main board or drop me a pm so that we can get the ball running properly.

Regards

Mark

If not the Sunday maybe the Saturday would be good, as that is what most people were thinking it was anyways.

I agree, I think Saturday would be better. Means more time for a social chat with the bandwagoners after the match, before we turn on them the next day.

I'd love to … and this is no word of a lie, but I suffer from arthritis and at the moment my heels are rooted and my back is stuffed. The good thing about this is that takes away the focus of my aching shoulders and dodgy knees.

Thanks Mum … just what I wanted passed on down the blood lines.

I'm also not sure what our movements for that weekend will be just yet, so haven't wanted to commit now and then disappoint later on.

Sorry … but I'm just an old man camel way before my time I'm afraid.

Im easy on the day. I just though Sunday would be easy as we would all be in one location at the time.

if it's on the sunday then thats not going to work well for me. as there is the carlton pre game at randwick at 10.30, which i will posibily be attending.

i figured the easiest way for things to happen was it to be the saturday afternoon rather than play on game day. i dont really want to be lugging footy boots and stuff to the game either. i'm guessing a lot of people have a pre game routine so again i wouldn't recommend playing on game day.

10 am is only 3 hours before the game (game starts at 1) so thats not leaving a lot of time for people to shower-change/have lunch/catch up over drinks etc.

i thought maybe we could play at a more traditional time like 2pm saturday, then you could be sure that the oval wont be used for any game day activities (not sure if it would anyway). Then people could get changed there(or wherever) and then as a group we could all go to a nearby pub (bat n ball maybe?) and have a yawn over a few coldies.

if it's sunday, as soos as the game ends , i'd imagine most people will go their separate ways. it would be nice to get to know people a little better after the game i reckon.

does anyone else have a particular time preference? i guess whatever suits the majority for both sides is best.

good to get the ball rolling however mark.
cheers for your help on this

Problem is, if you bump into him, you'll put him out of action for a fortnight!

Sad to hear Camel, thought you were trying to avoid this thread for a second. :P

As far as game day goes, I would prefer the Saturday, I know BlueBull, Italian Styles and I have all booked our stuff and kinda planed for the game to be on the Saturday.
Heaps of time after the game to get our drink and have a chat, and like gez said, dont wanna be carrying everything to the game on Sunday and be in a rush.
