Put Peter Jonas on the list. Had experience and success at all levels both at winning flags and developing youngsters. Shaun Rehn too. I think it's important the coach has had some experience being the senior coach at a fairly high level. The pressure, responsibility etc does funny things to assistants who become senior coach.

Purely hypothetical, but in order

1. John Longmire
2. Shaun Rehn
3. Paul Hudson

Me.

Coaching in the AFL can't be harder than coaching a junior netball side after seeing Stevens' game against Essendon*.

PS. I like Don Pyke as well.

I am led to believe that Longmire will be the coach of the Roos. Of the others Royal, Lambert, Mitchell and Phil Walsh.

If that happens, we may need to charter 'another' bus.

I'm jumping off the Gary Lyon bandwagon now..................for the time being at least.

He really hasn't proven himself at a coaching level, all bar the Irish tours that he did which really weren't a sucsess anyway.

Lyon is a brilliant thinker and a great strategiest, but he hasn't proven anything yet.

I'd LOVE to have him as an assistant though. Maybe for 3 years, and then see if he can grow into the head role.

Turn off the persecution complex. Sheesh.

If you're gunna post that Gary is "a brilliant thinker" then you'd better expect someone to respond negatively.

Gary Lyon would be one of the dopiest wankers that God ever shovelled guts into.

If you're allowed to be anti-Pagan, I sure as hell am allowed to be anti-Gary Lyon.

Didn't say you weren't allowed to mate! You can be Anti-whoever the hell you want! Just like i'm slowly becoming Anti-Deano Supremo!!!!!

But why don't you write that instead of pretending to be a smart ass and adding in a few 'shock eyes' emoticons and saying "oohhhh, The prosecution rests, your honour".
That's not suggesting that Lyon is a dope...............that's a comment towards me! Hence the Persecution.

There have been about half a dozen other people suggesting Gary Lyon.............................So why chose mine to attack, just like every other post i do?

That's personal mate....................hence the
