I apologise for starting this - my comment was a light-hearted gesture at the idea of a pre-match discussion somehow being new. It wasn't a site by site comparison, just something that struck me as very funny.

Carlton needs all sites and we all offer different things to different Carlton fans.

Questions to be asked of the MC.

How many can Pavlich kick on Lance before T-Bird is moved onto him?
Will Carlos perform on a more challenging opponent this week so we see how far he has progressed?
Will a rookie be promoted?
Will the hard call be made on French after Lappin was dropped last round?

It is good to see Headland and Carr out, problem is that, it is Freo's outside runners that will tear us a new one in Crowley, Peake, McManus, Schammer, Dodd, Webster, and Black. If we don't stop the run of these guys, we will be ten goals down in no time similar to Round 2.

Lets hope Freo bring their E game or things could get ugly.

Prediction: 6 Goal Loss and bottom spot on the ladder

Headland won't play as he failed to get off at the tribunal. Got it downgraded from intentional to reckless but still has to serve 2 weeks.

Carr also won't play. :-D

does anyone know who usually gets fev if its one of either grover or haddrill both arent playing this week, if it isnt its still good as i think both are defenders and we could really strethc their backline with a forward line consisting of kennedy, fevola, waite and fisher. i just hope we can stop pavlich and we're in with a real show.

Fev generally gets Grover, he got rubbed out for eye gouging him I think last year. They'll be pretty light on in the middle.

I think we can win this match but we simply have to stop committing so many needless turnovers. I know it sounds obvious but no matter how well we play our hard work is continually undermined by our inordinately high number of turnovers which guarantees the opposition the advantage before the ball is even bounced. We're actually not such a bad side in full flight even now, but we shoot ourselves in the foot and undo all our good work. I lost count of the number of Essendon* goals that occurred directly as a result of Carlton turning the ball over. So if we can reduce the number of turnovers, and I realise that this is something that won't just 'happen', we'd be a chance in most games.

so we really need tot ake advantage of that and smash their midfield and backline with no carr or headland and an injury cloud over hasleby and a backline with 2 good key defenders out. we're probably going to struggle in the ruck and in defence but as long as we can stop pavlich i reckon we'll give them a good run for their money.

How does it go again?

I reckon we should have sung this on the weekend

We are the Navy Blues
To win the Premiership Flag
We're the team who'll never let you down
Are always striving for glory and fame!

With all the champions
The other teams they don't fear,
Because they know that they've been playing
But they can't get near ...

(and the Bummer sing the alternating lines)

we would have to be a good chance this week...in the past month we have outplayed the eagles to lose outplayed the dogs to lose, outplayed by the cats to lose and outplayed the bummers to lose... we have been the better team for the most part. So we should be able to account for the Dockers...we are not that bad just have a young list which means we struggle to play 4 quarters and of course our disposal and decision making is horrible, if we can just improve in this area we should be fine for next year...would I like to see us get a pp...well of course having three very good young kids come straight into our team and add bower and hartlett then we have the makings of a very competitive unit....but i also want to see us win games...i thnik im just afraid of us missing a pp and Essendon* getting one...if we could both win 3 more games that would be fine with me.

Who will we be putting on that big pr!ck Sandilands when they decide to put him at FF?
Is French or Bryan strong enough to take him one on one? Is Setanta capable of taking him on?

Any chance of Jackson, Smith or Flint being elevated and brought into the team this week?

With Prender now out indefinitely we have another opening on the senior list and I would prefer to see Jackson Flint Smith given a run and any injured players rested or given a run in the Bullants.

Yes he did but they weren't playing on each other. Haddrill usually plays on him and normally does well.

They've been able to be elevated for weeks. Prender being out would make no difference. Last I heard they needed to bang the door down a bit harder.
