Who cares about draft picks, priority picks and that shit? I just want to win. I want them to win for themselves and for the fans. I don't care about PPs, I just want to win the game. I want to SING THAT SONG REALLY LOUD. That's all that matters.

Confrontational htp has been banned from CSC, as far as I can tell

Well actually, probably not - I changed my email address as I had sensationally lost my job (I'd used my work address as the contact details) and got an email saying I should click a link to get rejoin - but the link didn't work

Meh, it fits in with my desire to ween myself off Carlton websites. Too depressing and confrontational/angry there anyway for my tastes. Some @#$%&! bailed me out with a smart arse, 'don't you know anything' comment which fueled my meh, so no loss

Having said that - best wishes to CSC because I think they were the first site I signed up with

Oops - I was wondering what thread I was posting in

Uh, Dockers to destroy us and Bombers to have a close loss - fuelling the 'the worst team aint on the bottom' headlines a bit

Yeah nah - we'll make the dockers look like a clean, efficient, hard running team of goliaths, I reckon

It is a great idea, and one which was started on CSC, thanks for the compliment.

Heres an idea, why dont we get a bunch of people knowledgable in the sport of football to write about the game and publish their articles on large sheets of paper.

We can sell these sheets of paper on street corners and shops and even deliver them to peoples homes - people who are interested in the game of football and would like to read about this game could purchase these sheets of paper.

We will then call these sheets of paper 'newspapers'.

Just out of interest - when did we last win against an interstate team - home or away??

Was it Adelaide over there in 2004?

Didn't know your website was started by Bob, Jack and Lou back in the 60s.

The draw will end up costing us dearly. Cannot enjoy it because it was not a win and yet it has the same effect in that we can win no more than 1 more game to qualify for the PP. Worst result for Carlton. We are so poor on talent that we cannot afford to miss ourt on the PP. We have endured too much pain only to have us show some false promise like two years back when we won 10 games.

I think we are a chance against Freo. Josh Carr who carved us up last year is reported and likely to miss. So is Headland . Big Losses for Freo. We have to start off as the very least as equal favourites. Now for the match ups

Pagan crucified us against the Dons with his match ups. Lance should not play against the opposition's leading forward. He is a risk tasker who should have the licence to play loose and create attack from defence and help out by filling in the holes as they present thenselves. Yet we match him on Lucas. By no means is he a star but he requires some level of respect and close checking. Thornton should have started on him. The change was made too late when the damage was done.

Cannot believe the amount of talls and unfit players heading up our forward line. As soon as the ball hit the ground (and with our lack of quality disposal it did not hit the target sufficient times) our leading big men where reduced to onlookers with the exception of Betts. Also worrying is the fact we have better options than Fev who has to contend with multiple opponents yet we still try to find him on every occasion. He has had a great year but a lot of his goals are attributable to the fact just about every attack of ours has to involve Fevola. You have to feel sorry for Kennedy who out on his own and his massive frame advantage has his role reduced to that of a passenger. Reminds me of the Saints where Plugger would kick 10 goals and yet they would still lose. Pagan should direct the players to have shots on goal themselves and look for other forwards if we are to kick a sizeable total with multiple contributors. If you really want to look at a stat that can explain our inability to consistently kick a decent score you only have to look at the number of goals scored via general play. It is miserable.

What I would love to see is Walker play tight on Pav. Pav is an athlete who is too fast for Thornton who also tends to play too far back from his opponent. Walker has the pace to keep up and do a similar job as he had accomplished on Croad. Another good candidate for the job would be Setanta. He may concede a few cheap goals through judgement errors but won't he learn a lot from the experience. Setanta is a great athlete and knows how to spoil.

We should put McGrath of Farmer, Thornton on McPharlin. and both Whitnall and Fisher down the backline to control the aerial contests and help with the intercepts. Stevens shoul not be placed anywhere near our defensive zone. He will be matched on by Ryan Crowley who even though is a dirty mongrel type wasa great pick up at pick 55. Too strong aerially for Stevens.

We miss Lappin down back sweeping like in the good old days. Pagan needs to realise his days as a forward are over. Hopefully he comes back into the side. Not too sure who to put on Medhurst. Maybe Banno but would prefer him to run with Hasleby as he can match him in the air and aerobic capacity. If Longmuir starts off as a forward Setanta is the perfect match.

Carazzo can focus himself on nullifying Bell rotating the responsibility with Bentick. We don't need to match up on McManus because his diposal cannot hurt us. Kouta can continue to have limited spell on the ball otherwise he needs to sit on the pine. I want Simpson, Russell and Blackwell to play as on ballers but play totally offensively. Want to see see how they go in the top grade.

In the Swans Richmond game Blight made a comment when the Tigers were getting thrashed along the lines they now have nothing to lose and they should experiment in the middle with some of their young emerging stars of the future. The game was already lost and he suggested putting Deledio and Raines on the ball Pagan should take note.

Who are you to say what a good supporter should do? You don't have a clue by the sounds of you. I would argue someone who wants to lose is a better supporter of the club because they are willing to put a few cheap thrills aside to improve our playing list.

You are young, so I will give you a tip. Don't read too much into what the old timers on this site say, a lot of them haven't moved with the times and are still living in the dark ages. Post count does not equal knowledge.

Thanks for making a special effort to drop in and let us know. ;)

While plugging your own site. Far be it from me to even be bothered with stopping you, but I think hawking for users was a CSC initiative too. Can't wait for the secret PMs to do the rounds. :P

I'd just like to offer this up as an excellent example of hypocracy. 8)

Just be careful when they ask you for money, they will keep it in their account for over a year and not use it for the purpose it was intended for.

Thanks for turning this pre-match discussion thread into another "which site is better" thread!!! If your site is so much better why do you need to even come here? :garthp:

Looks like Des Headland and Thug Carr are going to contest their reports at the tribunal.

I can't see them getting less than a week each, especially Thug Carr.....unless he argues the intention vs reckless debate.

"No Mr Tribunal Chairman sir, I was actually trying to punch him in the shoulder but I miscued and sconed him fair and square on the chin".

"No worries Thug, understand completely, have a reprimand instead".
