its not like we've got a choice we just cant win. im sure the club arent worried about PP either we're just not good enough. :(

We're not talking about the club, we're talking about what we would rather happen if it were up to us. WIN.

of course i cant even believe supporters mention that they want to lose for picks. you have to barrack for your club to win that's what a supporter does and at the end of the year if you get good picks then you take that as a reward for the pain you've dealt with during the year.

tb24...arguing that line is like farting against thunder, especially in this phase of the season.

They'll still go in favourites, but gee I reckon we're in with a huge chance.

Especially since Freo are shocking at the Dome.

Over at CSC we've run a Pre-Match discussion thread for a number of years. They say imitation is a sincere form of flattery so thanks guys.

Seriously, Mav's done a good analysis of this match that It'd be good to share

Bummers would have to be a chance to knock off the Lions at TD this week

Not going to happen.

Lions will thump Essendon*, who will be thinking they'll be in with a chance, and thus undo any chance they have.

I would be having few dollars on both the Blues and Dons this week...both due for a win and both playing iffy teams...

Lets wait until they appeal as all interstate teams seem to get games reduced..

I like your line of psychological warfare, bos.

Its gotta work, the F word... They are due for a shocker and with no bad press or bad games recently, were in with a chance..
I get this feeling that Robert Walls will write a negative article on Freo this week

Due for a win......if that isn't stating the friggin obvious then I don't know what is!!!! (I am still laughing - great call)

For those in the PP vs Win discussion:

Priority Pick or Wooden Spoon? WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN!!

The Shockers are due for their usual away slumber party especially if the Thug twins (Carr girls) and headland get rubbed out.

josh carr and des headland have no chance of playing against us even if their suspensions are downgraded as josh carr was offered 2 weeks and headland 3 weeks. matthew car received a $1500 fine.

Wow! Talking about a game before it happens is an original idea???

Seriously, I hate Fremantle in an 'I dont care' sort of way. If someone talks about them I'll say I hate them, I hate their colours, I hate their song, I hated Neesham, I really think Connolly is a turkey..

But when it comes down to it they're just more bla bla than anything.

Life would be better if they were replaced with the Collingwood reserves. Id be able to hate them more and it would give us a good chance of winning.

I didn't mind Neesham, he was a bit different, even if some of his ideas made Sheedy look mainstream. Drum was the worst for me, boring as buggery and a complete sook when he lost, and an even bigger sook when he got the arse.

Their whole history is based on complaining about everything...rest assured if they don't make the finals it will be 'because of an unfair draw where the least 'famous' Perth team has been discriminated against', not because they have an inept coach and a culture problem...and they ceratinly won't mention how they have the greatest home ground advantage in the league...bunch of sooks the lot of em.

...i hate them almost as much as i hate the Eagles ... and that is a damn lot!! I'd love to derail their finals dream (as long as it doesn't end up ruining our PP dream;) )

I will want to see

- Wolfie's stats
- the playing list

before I wade into this debate.

I don't want to see Trent Sporn on that playing list. I would like to see Jarrod Waite but he didn't seem to pull up well vs EFC* ... I would also like to see Kouta bring back some of his 1st-half brilliance of last week, and also see Skinny back.

I don't think I could stand winning next week. For five weeks in a row I'd be worried about winning and missing out of the PP.

Let's leave it for the tiges or pies a few weeks later
Why are we playing for PP? Don't we have enough young blood?

But as for beating the tiges and / or the filth, I wouldn't be too unhappy with that either (prefer the and to the or)

Navy Blue Horse wrote:
I don't care about the PP - what our kids need is a taste of winning. Would be nothing more valuable than taking another 3 wins into next year. The more finals contenders we can upset the better.
The weekend's game was as good as a win as we've seen for a long time (since the last time we beat the scum, anyway). Surely that's taste enough to encourage better!?

We're not too flash (in general, not just at the dome), either!

We need the priority pick; there is no point in winning more than 1 game for the rest of this year.

We need as many picks in the top 20 that we can legally get.

We need to look to the long term of the team development of the team.

I was quite amused to see The Brawl Hall had an identical thread title to a TC thread.

Co-incidence? possibly.
Funny? definitely.
