Kouta brings more to the club than just his ability, leadership, quality, experience and loyalty. He teaches the kids at Carlton CFC all the things that people take for granted like preperation, respect, what is expected on and off the field especially with what has happened at other clubs Akka, Gardiner, Cousins etc. I am glad Kouta is still playing for Carlton even though he is past his prime, but he is still a required player for the total package he brings to the team. Hope you play on Kouta as the kids need direction and not just on the football field.

Kouta turned back the clock a few times yesterday which made me smile but he is done and the end of this as far as I'm concerned.
A club great who should be given a good send off and then we all move on.

It was great to see the old man lead by example once more.

He should have gone off at half-time and announced his retirement then and there, such was the quality of his game to that point.

I don't think going out on a high is an option for him, unless he wants to see a few more years and compete with the likes of Bradley, Doull, or Bartlett in the number of games played.

Well done this weekend, Kouta! Your inspiration will help us out of the cellar, where we don't belong!

If we were to win one more for Kouta, then it would be fitting it be against the filth, where he turns on a vintage effort ala circa 1996/2000 form.

Don't see it happening on current form (on both sides)

Would be nice, though!

'sides, why do we only have to win one more? (see http://www.talkingcarlton.com/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=11592 )

In order to qualify for the PP, 16 points or less in a season is required. Why would we want to win more than one from here when it would mean nothing in the whole scheme of things?

Not saying that extra pick will turn out to be a gun, but it means we get an opportunity to potentially pick up a 200 game player for the club.

In any case, we aren't good enough to win another game if we cannot beat the 16th placed side - that's the reality.

The only thing I'm really looking forward to is the development of our young players in the last 6 games, the result is meaningless to me.
