now I am trying to remain reasonable but for the life of me I cannot understand why denis has play fish the last two weeks and waite this week.

What possible benefits are there?

that's one angle but one of my 'beliefs' about Denis is that he is always trying to win - yet this seems to go against that idea. Playing two unfit men (and then a third on the bench) means you are going to struggle to cover the opposition over the whole match - we lost in two simple periods yesterday 9and some awful disposal - oh lots not forget that) both after breaks both where they seemed fresh and full of run and we looked flat.

What would two fit players who had played the last 6 or so weeks have meant?

Didn't they both get a guernsey yesterday (ie Fish and Waite)?

I don't think either of them had a real bad game ..

IMHO

Fish and waite had no influence on the game one way or the other but its more a question of Pagan's reasoning. Both are not match fit and with Kouta also coming in (which i can understand) why would you bring three players in in the last two weeks all o whom have not played or what? 5 weeks and Fish an Waite for 6? It just seems crazy to me. What is the point?

Fisher had 5 kicks, 2 were clangers. This time last year he played a number of games in the VFL, came in and had a real impact. You'd think they'd learn from that. Waite should have done the same for the impact he had.

Why did you exclude Kouta?

Kouta's last season, let him play the remaining games and finish his stint as captain.

Also Kouta has been a champion at this club - I think they deserve different treatment.

Neither Fish or Waite are champions. They should (surely?) be brought back through the reserves unless there is a thought processs behind playing them and that is what I am searching for an idea of the why with these two because I can only think of reasons why not to play them.

Agree Danny, we lost the game at selection. After their layoff both Fish and Waite should have come back through the 2s. I know ADL is a whipping boy but he may have been handy up forward at times. And they have to look for Kennedy and kick it to him

dannyboy dont forget if Waitey or Fish didn't play DP may have opted to play Deluca...which is something i dont ever want to see again..however i whole heartedly agree with you. And giving Kennedy rubbish time is pathetic. Poor Kid

Kouta probably played his best game for the season. Seemed to benefit from being freshened up while Waite & Fisher just seem out of touch. Not sure ADL wouldn't have been better and that's not saying much.

so again I ask, has anyone got a theory as to why?

Does Denis think there is no one worth giving a game to?

Can we not promote anyone?

He wants them both ready for next year?

He expected Waite and Fish to fire today?

This has me flummoxed

He thinks we're too reliant on Fev but atm they're not match fit enough to have any impact.

exactly so why not (as Synners wants) play Kennedy and tell the blokes to go to him?

What else is on his mind?

anything?

I do not mind your ideas SB 8) But really, what could he be thinking - see I do not believe he is dumb - can be wrong but so what. Its whether he can learn from mistakes that I care about.

He was probably like most of us and over estimated Waite and Fishers ability . I dont think either of these two have played a full season yet without getting injured . When you are young and developing it is a lot harder to get back into the swing of things and you have to start all over again .

Josh Kennedy suffered two set backs this year and Murph has now one. It took Murph quite a few games to really settle down and Josh hasn't yet. Come round one next year its back to square one . Same applies to Fisher and waite . Neither has been in the team longer enough to find any sort of consistant form and to be quite honest neither has shown anything yet to say they are going to be anything more than average footballers

Pagan is only human he wanted to win so he played what he thought were his two best Half forward attacking options . Turned out he was wrong again .

This is where Pagan needs good people around him and by the looks of it stop reading the crap that is written on web sites like this
