well being born in the off season i had to wait a while and my first match was a 59 point lose to the doggies round 1 of 1989,
second match a loss to the saints by 4 points (we are getting closer to a victory),
then a 53 point loss to the cats,
then we lost to the bombers by 28 points (maybe 1989 was all my fault)
then we lost to the hawks by 54 points and
finally we win!!! by 36 points against the tigers so for me it took six matches!!! thats a fairly long wait!

An 85 point loss on my birthday.

Meaning my first win was the next week against North by 91.

My son was born on GF day 1995 - does that count? :-D

Your son rocks, Steve!!

Where did everyone get details of the dates of the various matches? I was born in May 1960, and while I'm able to access our 1960 results I have no idea when the games were played.

Given that 1960 was a 18 round season my first win was in round 4 (against Haw 5.18 to 5.7) or round 9 (against North 18.12 to 8.15).

Thanks for the link killpies. Given that I was born on 11 May, 1960, my first blues win was my very first Sat'dee: round 4 - Carlt 5-18-48 Hawth 5-7-37 at Princes Park.

How's this:

I was born on Saturday July 22 1972 - (tomorrow's date), it just so happened to be Round 16 (just like tomorrow) and coincidentally we played Essendon* (again....just like tomorrow)....so if you go by omens then put all your money on us to beat Essendon* because 34 years ago we beat them - 133 to 117.

This might help. It's the results of evry game every player. It's says to 2004 but it's actually always up-to-date.

Thanks for that camelboy. I'd actually been to that page before I posted my query but unfortunately blueseum doesn't load properly for me, either because I have an olde computer and/or use Firefox.

It was only after I saw your post did I realise/remember that I should use Internet Explorer to view blueseum.org .
