yes, it was good to finally talk it up publicly and officially - the interview went for a lot longer but bits were edited out I think. Of all the players we've had... why ask for Glenn Hawker!!!

here i am thinking that its all live

I think it mostly is - but I crapped on for ages so they had to cut little bits out!

Yes, you're right. I'll check with Jarusa for the correct & final ones.

molsey i edited the top 10 goalkickers of blueseum according to this link which is from the official afl website:

http://stats.afl.com.au/public/statisti ... oals.shtml

i was careful to look at how many goals they kicked for carlton and not their overall tallies. these numbers are a bit different to what it says on the actual carlton site but i just went with them if you want to change them back you can.

(change the link from carltonfc to afl)

Be careful when editing the numbers tb - they've generally come from a trusted source. The numbers I'll have to check again but the CLub historian has confirmed that they're correct. The Carlton Footy Club site also had Jezza and Walls goals at other clubs.

they couldnt have had robert walls's goal tally at other clubs on the carltonfc site because on the carltonfc site it says walls kicked 373 but on the afl site it says walls kicked 391 for carlton and 86 for fitzroy, anyway i'm just complicating a very simple part of blueseum so we'll just go with what our club historian says i've edited it according to the afl site but if the club historian says it was right the other way then we can change it back, i didnt mean to make such a big deal out of this. if there is anything else i could help out with please let me know.

tb24 - Dont worry about it. I trust Williamson over anything on afl.com or even the REcord - the number of mistakes we have had pulling data out of there has taught me to be wary. Williamson's records will be used for the Bleuseum and the Club is happy with that.

If people have a general query about a number, or a piece of data, in the Blueseum, then the Forums can be used. Its like TC I guess, but designed to discuss any issues that pop up and finalise an answer.

TB - will reply to your note shortly,

Mods - should we merge this with the BZM thread? Im sure molsey on 927 as a thread is good for my ego but it probably belongs up in the main thread.

I'm sure you more than deserve your own thread for the work you've done on Blueseum, but the discussion is more about the Bluseum now so merged them I have.

If you do a search for Blueseum on google it now comes in at number 1!
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=n ... q=blueseum

Quite an acheivement considering it was not even on the first page for that search only a few weeks ago.

Speaking of acheivements the Blueseum is approaching it's first birthday on the 14th of July. :-D

I knew that daily search for blueseum would get those google-heads on the case. FIrst and Second...!

We had about 1000 hits to the homepage yesterday alone...it feels good to be launched!

ps Amazing effort by 'kruddler' (on CSC) who almost single handedly completed all Carlton Brownlow Votes yesterday. I cant log in to CSC today but if you're reading kruddler - fantastic effort.

Maybe it should be called Les Bleuseum. ;)

Well done Jarusa, I think I speak for most Carlton fans when I say you're true blue digger and a massive pat on the back to you for getting this off the ground.

C'est magnifique!

:-D

Huge team effort, dozens of people have contributed in all kinds of ways to the site.

Cannot believe it is as advanced as it is after only 1 year, that is the doing of a lot of people who have put in thousands of hours of work.

In another year it should be much more detailed and official club property/asset.

Project Link...

A little while ago the Blueseum Contributors started linking one game to the next, to make it easier for viewers to move through a season. BlueWorld, steve, trublue24 and myself had done about half the job...

Basically all you have to do is move to the bottom of each game review and link the prior and subsequent games, like this:

---
((Round 13, 1978|Round 13)) | ((Round 15, 1978|Round 15))

In round 1 link to this year and in the last game link to the next year.

Pretty simple, just time consuming. 1923 to 1978 still need some work...\

ANy takers?
