I feel a little bit jipped. I knew this was coming and I could have shelled out for Silver Membership. My kids play sport on Sat morning and I play on Sat arvo. No time to go to the footy on Saturdays. A Silver Membership is really $$$ down the drain because at best I will make 2 games. I just cant justify paying for 11 games when I know from the outset I will be lucky to make 2. last year I made just one Fri night game. So far this year just the Wiz Cup GF. Each year however I buy the Blue Membership just to stay faithful.

If every 'supporter' out there with commitments on a Saturday bought a Blue membership the club would be rolling in cash!! It would have been nice if, apart from the lapel pin, magazine and fridge magnet the club had offered Blue members an opportunity to get any left over tickets for the OO game prior to the general public getting a shot at them. On that topic it would be a good idea if the club maybe offered a discount ticket/priority booking number or something for Blue members to buy tickets for the 1 or 2 games that they can make. In reality guys I dont really care too much about the lapel pin, fridge magnet etc. Last years are probably still in the packet. Ii'm stumping up for the Blue Membership to buy a feeling that I am part of the club. If you gave people with weekend commitments a meaningful avenue to feel like they belong, you would probably convert more supporters into members.

That's good feedback 2ndeffort, you should shoot that off to the club membership@carltonfc.com.au ... who knows, it may get disregarded, or they may take your comments on board.

I sent a few annual emails to the club along a similar line about providing a more attractive package for people living in regional Vic and interstate. The $95 deal they have now isn't perfect, but its a start, and I do believe that the club is hamstrung by what it can offer in some instances due to AFL restrictions, but I guess there's no surprises there.

Anyway, all feedback to the club is good feedback as far as I am concerned, and I reckon you should be poroud as punch to be a member every year as it is. Good on you.

They should allocate a small area in the legends stand for general public, to buy tickets now and be able to go. And if they dont, they should show the game Live in Free to air TV.

I can understand your frustration, but with over 30,000 members now I think the club is doing the right thing by giving them first right of refusal. Imagine if you were a member and you missed out on a ticket to a member of the general public ... I reckon you'd be pretty pissed off.

I too can understand your frustration I'd be pissed off if I had to miss the game but everything you do is by choice, saying that you don't have a membership by choice doesn't make any sense. You chose not to purchase one, you made that choice. I'm not having a go at you I'm not but do you understand where I'm coming from? I'm just a pedantic little bugger

The game should be live on TV, fingers crossed for all those that missed out.

What sort of areas are they offering to Silver Members? I know it's Legend Stand Upper and terraces but interested in what bays.

I used to have a Gold seat in the Legends stand and I hated it...it was near a stairwell and for the first 15mins of every quarter I had people walking in front of me :x

Blueblood, just got tickets for mrs camel and I (we're Silver Interstate members) and we'll be in the Pratt Stand, Row D. Hopefully it's a nice sunny day.

See y'all there! 8)

I'm an AFL Club support member, so I'm sitting in front of the hero's stand (first in first serve)

I knew you'd be on the job at Chaddy, did you miss me  I got tickets Upper Legends as well. They were on my AFL but I'll be sitting in the Gardiner and the Legends tickets will be sold on, to Carlton friends from Perth coming over for the game.

:)

I got legends stand terrace Bay 17 Row A . I wanted legends upper when I was booking but it has worked out well as it is easier to be a yahoo in the terraces plus there is a good chance there will be some vision of me in the final game at OO. Great work me. I was actually amazed that the Canberra staff had some vague idea on what to do.

okay with everyone making a big effort to get down to the game we have to arrange a massive get together after the game so that everyone can catch up and have some fun together.

I as the Social Club President will speak to a few people and see what we can come up with.

Also is there any chance you could double dip?? not that I want to be dodgy, just curious.

If you mean in general don't forget that the ground holds 35,000 and we don't have that many members. Any member that wants a ticket will get one

Interesting. Was told by the club the Pratt stand would not be available! All I was offered was Legends in the pocket.
