Murphy reminds me of MArk Naley.. and lets hope he has the Rod Ashman eye for goals.

got me [REDACTED] how anyway can have a shot at walker

he was the only positive out of the game, the only positive.

the rest where shit beyond belief.

he was the only positive.

we should have been flooged last night, losing by 8 points does not tell the story of the game.

pagan was stupid last night, we had a really good set up in the first quarter, why change it?

nope, everything about yesterday, with the exception of walker was crap.

You think Murphy's kicking was fantastic? Well, his goal was a deadset Kernahan helicopter!!!!

Only 737 more to go and he'll be an all time great! 8)

That was a brilliant kick from Murphy on the run from out wide so how can anyone fault that kick? :?

Yes it was brilliant, but it certainly wasn't a classic drop punt. What gets me is that you have people who want to criticise Walker's kicking when it was no worse than anyone elses', in fact, probably better than most, yet they want to think that Murphy's kicks were all fantastic.

Have you seen the Bigfooty thread bagging him after 25 possessions?

Last year he was a dud because he couldn't get the ball, now he's a dud because he had a couple of bad disposals like everyone.

That was my exact first impression. Naley to a T.

He kicks quite a few of those floaters - his great pass to an unmarked Fev in the third quarter was the same too, as was his first goal in AFL footy.

It's hard to compare the quality of the kicks of kids like Walker and Murphy when they are constantly kicking it under pressure situations to a rabble of a forward setup, with the youngsters in teams like Geelong and West Coast, where they get lots of uncontested ball, and can afford to have supreme faith in the teammates they kick it to.

Walker was good last night, and the Prez is right; on a night of garbage, he was a rose.

the progression of one andrew walker has, in my opinion, been helped and hindered by the team he's found himself in. it must be more difficult to reach your potential in a team that has been the worst of the past three or four years. though in the defensive respect, he has gotten the tough opportunities that will not only make him a better player when carlton start playing consistently good football. compared to a few other 'superstars' found around the half-back line, he's doing extremely well for nineteen.

one of his weaknesses is disposal, he is starting to read the play better, could always mark and run, but hopefully, he can develop the poise to help his kicking.

having said that, last night there was clear difficulty in the mid-field and partially, it's those players that make his job easier and harded. i also noticed walker sticking up for a few of the other boys, simpson in particular, and walking off, he looked and acted more disappointed thaan most.

when walker is a part of a winning culture, i think we'll see something epic.

Watching closely both when near the ball and when away - he reads the play better, knows where to run, and he can find the ball.

Having a really good year is AW. Keep it up young fella!!!!
