Yes I know there are other threads already up but I'm interested to know people's thoughts on the changes made after qtr time

In the first qtr we appeared to go head to head with Richmond - and at the same time coming out on top.

Then, when Richardson took a few marks, we suddenly went back into defensive mode. Players streamed into defence and let their Richmond opponents do whatever they wanted.

Why did we revert back to this flooding at qtr time? Who cares if Richo kicked 5, Fev and Lance would have kicked a winning score. When we went one on one we were on top yet when Richo took a few marks we suddenly go defensive

Kickouts were woeful. Why did we persist with the huddle? If you looked at Richmond's kickouts you would note that over the course of the game they took the ball to their forward line without us even touching it. Yet when you saw our kickouts, we'd get it outside 50 and then have no one loose, no forwards presenting. Everyone just stood still and the ball got turned over. Why were forwards continually not presenting from half forwad up to the wing?

We persist with the huddle cos Robert Walls brought it in about 20 years ago.. which is a reflection of our coaching methods...

We will be playing with a small but super fast midfield and forward line in about another 20 years....

kickouts - yep couldn;' agree more. Maybe somone needs to explain to Carlton how the new rule is an advantage to the side kicking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the other - disagree _ I was already screaming about 20 minutes into the first quarter that without Stevo and AB we were in deep shit around the clearance.

Once Stevo was taken out of the game we were [REDACTED]!

Always worry when we score a behind, most times we score a point the opposition manage to clear the ball well out of their defence and at times actually score.
