Heard a good interview from Lance Post the loss to the hawks he is speaking a lot better than he did 2 years ago on his interviews definately improved in his speaking

I managed to stay up so I could tune in. I am paying the price for it this morning!

Pretty good hour with interviews with Thornton and later Batson and Edwards. Mentioned how the club had decided to get him to play on smaller forwards in Robbo and Williams to expose him to different types of opponents. He might be a chance to take on Richo on Friday. Believes Livo was a tad unlucky not to stay in the team and may be a chance for recall. Otherwise not much else that stood out.

I liked the discussion with Daniel and Jake. They spoke about the frustration of the tightening of VFL rules in regards to maximum number of AFL players allowed in the VFL seniors. At the moment, given our small injury list, some players are forced to play in the VFL Reserves. Whilst not ideal, the boys appreciate the arguments placed by the VFL to preserve the strength of their competition and mentioned that you need to push harder for selection. They said that it is a bit strange that you have to push for senior selection for the VFL 1st, instead of what would usually be for the AFL.

Daniel is well spoken and articulate. He is now playing ruck more often after spending most of last year as a forward. Is happy to have Dempsey around and is improving under him. Obviously hope that he can show the club that he is good enough to persist with and believes that normally ruckman take a bit longer to develop. Would like to take over the mantle from French eventually. Is living with Hartlett and Russell. Jake has been playing CHB and HBF in the Ants reserves and believes has been doing well. He said that he sees himself as a forward but has performed better than he expected as a backman. Reckons that Bower and himself are similar players in that they like to run with the ball and set up attack. Believes the club is encouraging this attribute. Is living with Bower and Betts

They also repeated numerous times that Fev AND Waite would both be back for the Blues on Friday. Most probably believed it was more touch and go but they spoke like it was a certainty last night. We can only hope!

Interview with Lance, T-bird, Jake Edwards and Batson.

Lance said that another slow start cost us so its back to the drawing board, he also said he prefer to plat forward but Denis feels for the right team balance he needs to play down back. He spoke about Walkers game and said he has played some good games and the one against the hawks was one of his best.

T-bird was asked about Livo and said that he doesn't know why he isn't getting a game, Also spoke about Walker and said he is starting to show glimpses of what he is capable of. Would like to play forward but enjoying footy down back.

Jake Edwards and Batson were asked about playing in the bullants reserves which Edwards said was a little hard to digest but Batson feels that it helps because you wana fight to play Bullants seniors. Edwards is playing across half back and said he is enjoying and playing good footy. He works close with Terry but said Barry Mitchel, Dempsey and Livo have all been great support. Jake would like o play CHF just like his old man and honestly he sounded like a very motivated indivdual, speaking of his old man Jake said that his dad was a little disapointed that the bulldogs did not look at him but is happy he is at the blues none the less.

Interesting difference in opinions.
I personally hate seeing our young guys playing in different teams. They should all be bonding, developing and growing together playing for the same team.
