you just did nothing other than list the definition of all the terms that have been mentioned. :)

Yes that is all I did!!! Wasn't meant to be a comment on your assessment. I'm not exactly sure what the difference is but they don't seem to be the same as the numbers are different.

BTW where did you find out that

Stevens had 7 contested possessions, 22 uncontested, but that only tells half the story.

One thing I would say about Stevens on fri night is that I don't remember him having much of a break. I was sitting above the Hawks interchange and Crawford, Hodge, Mitchell, Bateman and Osbourne all had quite a few stints on the bench - that has to make a difference.

I thought he played his best game for the year..maybe not such much on the stats sheet but the way he went about it....kicked the ball better, ran harder, tackled better and was more intense....all goes well for a good game vs Tigers....I think he will be close to BOG this week....

A F L .com.au live tracker... you can load it up now if you know the number codes.

He had 22 uncontested possessions, and 29 disposals. Usually stats teams don't differentiate between these two words so it's an assumption of mine that he had 7 contested possessions. He certainly had no more than 9 if I'm wrong.

BTW, a ground ball contest would be a contested possession and a loose ball get using those definitions, that's one instance where you'd see a discrepancy.

Stevens was on ground the whole match, no break.

Yeah agree with that, I thought that his first two weeks of the season were a bit average by his standards but his last two have been good and I was happy with his game on Friday night. One problem with Nick has been that he hasn't kicked enough goals but I think he has kicked 2 in each of his last two matches?

Yep 2 in the past 2 weeks. Kicked 13 last year and already on 4 which is a good sign.

That's what I thought. Not sure you can assume that because the only player to get in top 5 for both is Houla, who had 24 uncontested & 9 contested, but 35 in total, so not sure what the 2 others are.

Which is poor management. We should be freshening up all our midfielders as every other team does and should have enough players in the rotation (McGrath, Betts, Scotland, Houla, Kouta, Bentick, Simpson, Carrazzo) to allow that.

I agree. This is easily the poorest part of season campaign to date.
