Dwayne was a gun in the SANFL. Came to Geelong and plyed 50 games next to Ablett before he did his knee, ending his career. He started calling football at K Rock and worked in there newsroom.

His is a top guy with a great sense of humour. He also understands how to stir the pot to generate calls to his radio show and get some passionate discussion.

Some people just seem to take this far too personally...get over it  As I have explained in other posts - IT'S THEATRE, PEOPLE!!

He also is a close friend of Craig Bradley (from playing at Port Adelaide together), so he can't be all bad!!

Now there's a specialised horse racing analogy. Worth a VISIT though.

Tilbrook, Cornes, Ebert, Davies were all guns in the SANFL and duds in the VFL. Although I'm told Cornes polled very well in the Gardiner Medal in 1979.

No he isn't.
He is an arrogant smuck dickhe#d!!
I know a few people who refuse to listen to sports today or the footy commentary on 3AW when he is on air.

I also hate his snippet stories during his calling of games...they are annoying.

After he did his knee, he signed up to captain/coach Colac in the GDFL, they paid him 30k, he turned up to about 2 training sessions then took off, never to pay the cash back. From all reports he is an absolute plonker. Money hungry hack, who doesn't know shit about football, terrible comedian (we are laughing at you Dwane !). Thank F@#K NEIN lost the rights, only have to suffer this fool for one more year.

A mate of mine from Colac told me that same story. Very ordinary act if true. (Which if it isn't is starting to look like an elaborate conspiracy)

Just to reiterate my original point - because Carlton have been crap over the past few years, Carlton supporters don't have the capacity to express an opinion on the quality of the game. (In his opinion)

With Port failing to overcome powerhouses like North and Freo at home, with any luck he might apply his own logic on himself and shut the %$#@ up!

Right place, right time. Sums up his media career.

Really tries hard to come across as "quriky", but he is basically a rubbish caller with Cometti-lite gags, and a flair for stating the obvious (which these days seems to be a prerequisite for being an AFL media commentator). A very poor-man's Hookesy really.

you should've heard him during the call! he was calling for a permanent cross to the WCE v ferals game at the start of the 2nd quarter. Hutchy (although a dipstick himself) was bagging him saying the game was only a quarter old and your already calling for a switch!!! And when asked whether he thought Carlton could comeback he said it was impossible and there was no way we could get the margin back. We were only 4 goals down at the time. What a flower of the highest order! you'd love to have a direct line to go on-air and get stuck into Carlton-haters like him...

Is he human?

I always likened him to a puppet (Thunderbird type of austerity), but with a smile that is a result of someone's hand up his arse.

He is terrible at reading from the cue card. Very stiff, a fake smile and laugh. Thinks he's admired. Oh so proud of himself.

Any more dirt on him. Spread it!!

Head for radio. Opinion of an asshole.

I met him in person once at a Paul Kelly concert... he was pissed-as.... referred to Tim Lane as a "c-word of a man".. (but, as you can imagine, didn't spare the actual word)

I have said all along that this man is a moron of the highest order. The hatred he has for Carlton goes beyond belief. At one stage I thought it was just my imagination but most people seem to agree on this forum. I no longer listen to 3AW when he is on air.
I'd rather have Hookesy any day may he rest in peace. I just hope I never bump into this Dwayne Twit as I may end up in court.

It's also amusing how he always brings up the word 'Flag' referring to his beloved Port. As if he had anything to do with it.

Get a life, you idiot.

he's best mates with Craig Bradley though.... isn't he? I wonder why he hates Carlton so much.... its not as though we beat Geelong in any grandfinals recently.... oh yeah! (but I think he's a bit anti Geelong as well)

Seeing we're on Ch.9 tomorrow night and dwayne shitbreak is part of their commentary team, can we expect some more derogatory commentary about us from this imbecile? Or does he have to be more diplomatic when on TV? @#$%&!, he's a tosser!!!

this is my favourite whinge topic at the moment - this guy annoys me for many reasons. He never, ever criticises footy - is this because it pays his salary? But, apart from his constant kick em when they're down attitude to Carlton, I hate that he doesn't have the guts to support one team. It is always Port this or that and then when they are crap it's back on to the I love the cats wagon. ahhhhhhh
