Had the unfortunate experience of listening to this oxygen thief taking calls from Carlton supporters on the way home.

As you can imagine the general theme of the callers was lambasting the Swans and their style of "football".

According to Dwayne, Carlton supporters are not entitled to an opinion because we are crap and we watch crap football every week.

Hello - we have beaten one of last years finalists, nearly beat last years premiers (coming off a Perth trip no less) and pushed a side full of early draft picks on their home turf to 15 points. I know which team generated the most excitement tonight.

And Dwayne, any Carlton supporter over the age of about 17 saw the greatest year of football ever played and those of us getting older have seen several seasons of great exciting footy that has won premierships.

Yes the Swans play is effective, but somewhere along the path you have to entertain the public. Your benchmark might be watching the Port Adelaide magpies run around Alberton, we have much higher standards.

One thing Carlton supporters have some qualifications in is watching quality football. Our opinions have far more validity than yours.

Stopped listening to this tool some time back. I'm pretty sure he's mentally crippled when it comes to us. Might have something to do with the many hidings he recieved from sticks.

A completely empty vessel who has created a media career for himself by virtue of the fact that he has a "radio voice" but unfortunately never anything of value to say with it.

A tool of the highest order!

After about 10 minutes into the first quarter, I'd had enough and changed to 3LO.

Dwayne Russell has always had a huge chip on his shoulders about Carlton. Any chance whatsoever over the last 5 years, he's put the boots in. I guess he's trying to make the most of his opportunites while they still last, because in another couple of years he'll have less ammunition.

He's the media's equivalent of Bigfooty's Jeff Dunne.

He's got a vested interest in defending crap football. Because crap football won Port Adelaide a flag. Whoever wins this year, let's pray it's some team who plays something close to 'normal' footy. 2 years in a row is enough for a lifetime. And it just encourages everyone else to follow suit.

I have no idea about his qualities as a "commentator" of the game.

However, I do think that he is one of the better TV "callers" of the game.

Commence abuse. :P

His career was a bit like "Paint the Stars' looked the part had the breeding but couldn't get near it.

The biggest bunch of morons I have ever encountered were calling a game of football on 3AW!

How can Craig Hutchison still have a job in football after the accusations he levelled at Koschitzke?

What did Hutchy say about Kosi? Hutchy is painful also - has he taken Gary Lyon under his wing or vice versa? Both complete smart alecs.

Turdburglar. (Am I allowed to say that Teddy? or is that offending some minority group?)

On the positive commentator side - Luke Darcy on 10 tonight was outstanding. 9 out of 10 for his special comments. He gave a real insight. And the commentators actually used him well - asked him what he would do or how he would feel in a particular situation. Really good to listen to.

Saints players in sex probe
Quote:
Teammate Justin Koschitzke, who shares a house with Montagna and was incorrectly named by Channel Seven as being part of the police investigation, was also being counselled. Despite an apology to Koschitzke by the network, St Kilda officials last night said the club would take legal action against the journalist who named the player and the network.

Look i dont care for journos. We all know we have the best Carlton diet of news going around just here.
Its natural a club as asuccesful as Carlton will have their knockers at present.
For the first time in 130 plus years people that have hated us are having a go at kicking us.
Weve made alot of enemies.. there is alot of jealousy.. and its just natural.
Each time we get a kick.. a Doggy , Saints, Magpie, Bummer etc supporter gets a woody.

Our job is to stop having Benny Hill moments and turn the club around with a direction as soon as we can.

When we do all that.. the attention will go elsewhere... as the ammunition will run out.

Thats all...

So just put it away in the memory bank and bring it out in a couple of years when we all call 3 AW on mass and tell him what a dick he is...

Thats if he is still employed.
Cant see why anyone cares about a guy with a name like Dwayne... surely thats a name for a character on Brokeback Mountain.

This is the most sensible post you have ever made Synbad.
i'm just surprised you didn't get to throw in a "How good is Fev" and a "how crap is Lance" comment.
Still - for once I actually agree with you.
Why any supporter actually bothers/cares about anything that any "mejar"(as they call the media on www.footytalk.com.au ) reporter says is beyond me. Gete over it and get on with life I reckon.

Russell played 50 games with Geelong in the 80-90's.

Forged a career calling footy for 3GL.

Shit, you are a touchy bunch ! fancy getting sucked in by Russell. No better or worse than the next commentator. As far as comparing him to Smith, well,i reckon that is way over the top coz Smith is in a category all his own...........no one gets remotely near that filthy swine.

Agreed, Smith will be wanker of the year every year till he retires.
