Thank you Jarusa re the stats, It would seem that Campo is at his best when the pressure is really on, seems to indicate a person who leads by getting the ball, also laying the most tackles in 2004 would indicate that Campo is not afraid to mix it with the opposition either.
Of course the other thing Synbad is happily ignoring is that Campo has now taken two pay cuts to stay with the team over the past two years.
Would I like more from Campo, yes I would but given the first three games but he is not on his Pat Malone there.
No paycuts .. just deferals.
Look BM and Jarusa.. just to set your mind at ease about how much the MC value the services of the great man(Campo).. a hint will be when they will get around to organising his contract. If they do it prior to the home and away it means he cant be traded away.
My guess is they will allow the champion among champions to go test the market prior to draft week.
Should be interesting eh?
One thing is for sure.. he wont ever need to take contract paycuts (deferals) ever again....
Campo is an ok player.. i never said he was crap!I said he is the most overated player on our list.. and his problem is he actually believes he is a gun and he doesnt have to do all the things other great midfielders do.. or lesser midfielders.
I think Campo should be in the next Uncle Toby commercial. "Kick it to me.. kick it to me...!!!"
Oh and Mark??He might not be on his "Pat Maloney "there.. great expression ill be using it for sure....
... but if you have a look at the other leaders... Kouta and Stevens.. and even Barnaby... they cant be faulted.
Plus 95% of the others players playing footy dont get 2 million over 4 years...thats sometimes reserved for champions like Hamill and Campo.
Guns of the game... household names.
At least Hamill can lead....
