PS Jarusa... youre good with stats.. how many times will Campo have been rubbed out this year from how many games?
ALSO... did you see his incident against Rawlings 2 weeks ago?Lucky not to go then too.....

Is this the kind of player that sets a positive tone for a young team??

Uherm*

Now go read some more stats. .. if thats how you look at a game.

As for the Betts and Carrazzo incidents.. i didnt make them up. Its what was said at the club.

You should start up a stats section (Campos calls to kids for cheap kicks)
Oh there is nothing un Carlton about what he is doing .. Braddles used to do it too...

Still i doubt Denis will forget about it at the end of the season.

Here is a stat for you:

Number of times Synbad complained about Campo being soft or setting a tone after the Essendon* win = 0.

Mate, you are a reactionary, even worse you are a vulture that circles around waiting for dead bits of carcass to eat. You only go in when things are dead or at there weakest.

Bingo!

Campo can and should lead by example. It is amazing that he still hasn't grown up.

I don't know what it is, Mrs Caz.. but there's something about you telling off someone, on a sunday morning with a bit of a hangover..... that's kinda makes me tingly

BAD BOY CAMPO! CAMPO NEEDS SPANK!

Just on the black eye (the ACTUAL subject of the thread) - he copped an accidental headbutt in the eye socket from Richard Cole. It was quite a solid hit and I thought he might have fractured his cheekbone, but it would have been academic as he would be out 1-2 weeks anyway.

Hate to say it, but Campo is Brodie Holland's bitch.

Brodie Holland sucks him in every time and still Campo just fights. Why doesn't Dennis send him out to tag an opposition player? Because we can't afford to with Stevens and Kouta the only stars we have on the ball.
If he was at a top 8 club he would be dropped to teach him a lesson and is lucky we're still an average side.
No club will be dumb enough to trade anything other than crap picks for him in regards to doing a "Schwass." I think there is going to another clean out at the end of the year of deadwood.

/Jarusa iif you actually knew me and had a conversation with me after Essendon* youd know i did complain about Campo.
However it remained one of the missed stats on FootyGeek.com

On Campo... is he one of 4 Calton players over 26? Has he played more than 150 games? Is he vice Captain? Is he on a shitload of cash? Is he an ex premiership player??

How come if you didnt know all those things from a record book youd never have guessed??
Its not like if you were beamed in from Mars that you woiuld be able to tell.
He should take a leaf out of Stevos book Holland tried to send him into the middle of next week. Stevo was up before Holland and went about his business. His eyes on the play.

Now thats from a guy whos first choice wasnt Carlton.

Theres a message in there somewhere... its about leadership.

You called campo a 'down hill skier', I reckon that is harsh.

You called campo lazy, I reckon that is harsh.

Was he undisciplined yet again, yep, is that showing leadership, nope, should he be called up on those things, yep. Calling him a lazy footballer and a down hill skier are another matter.

Campo still plays like a schoolboy. Always ready to fight all the fights, although at least this year he has stopped whinging to the umpires.

I think that he has changed his role under Pagan, and has come a long way. He just has to focus one the footy - just the way Stevo does.

Yes. Got reported 5 mins into the first Wiz Cup game because it was Essendon*. Gee I'm glad he'll go this week. I backed it with a Collingwood mate early last week. He's just so predictable

Jarusa.. he is a lazy lazy , overpaid ,undisciplined.. bad excuse for a leader who only plays well in games we win.

Sorry for calling him a lazy downhill skiier.

Name me the last come from behind win that he took the game by the scruff of the neck and won it for us... or a game we got thumped but Campo was magnificent.

Give me some time and we will see what we can come up with. There are plenty of people on here with greater footy knowledge than us that will be able to come up with examples before me (that is if there are any examples).

Ok, delve deep into the record books.
Wouldnt have happened since the departure of Williams, Brown and Ratten though...

Jarusa, that is Synbad's point about Camp being a downhill skier, since 2002, when he has had to assume the responsibility of being a senior member of the playing group - has he led from the front in those 18 wins of those 69 games we have played.

What are Campo's stats since 2002 and how do they compare pre 2002 and also with his teamates in the same period.

A coach once said to me, It is easier to be a good player in a good team, than a good player in a bad team.

Having played in both good and bad teams I now know what he meant.

BTW I thought Campo did a pretty good job last year overall as stand in Capt while Kouta was injured.

But hey what would I know, I didn't play enough socceer as a kid apparently.

You robably didnt do alot of things as a kid Mark.

Campo is not having trouble taking the big bucks (The kind of Bucks Robert Harvey. Michael Voss, McLeod and Riscuitto take) the problem is he is out of his league.....
Campo = average midfielder.
Its clear that campo would not attract criticism if he was on say 300k pa(still wouldnt be worth that and will get the shock of his life at the end of the season)... and not the club vice captain.
If you think he was a terrific leader last year... then how good was Kouta who turned the Queen Mary around when he came back.???

Do you reckon he'll get about half of what he is on at the end of the year, Synbad?
