Take every forward and let them have a shot from 30 out directly in front.
6pts = in
1pt = out

Then get the backman to try kicking to one of our blokes to give them a chance.
a mark = in
not =out.

Midfield is ok except " He's played his 100th now can we cut him?"

Or at the very least force the forwards to kick 6 successive goals at training before they're allowed in off the track

Or perhaps six successive goals, or else they have to wear a Justin Davies 2004 'fro for the rest of the year! :twisted:

my criteria would start with this:
If your name is Justin and you wear number 7, shake hands with the reserves coach, son, or LEARN TO @#$%&! KICK GOALS LIKE YOURE @#$%&! PAID TO.

I think I'm fairly entitled to be angry at the shite conversion rate Davies has. FFS, my girlfriend could have made some of those shots, and she returned a positive Unco test.

I just don't understand how a GOOD player like Davies - I love his work on the wing to half-forward - can be such a crap shot on goal. Why is he able to pinpoint passes, but can't hit the proverbial side of a barn with his shooting for goal?

These kids are young and have their whole careers ahead of them

Denis needs to send some of them messages. Carrazzo - learn to kick or your not allowed back

Davies - consistency. Get 30 touches for 3 matches in a row, before you get back....

And if i wear number 7, learn the basic rule of "keeping your feet". When he fell from the pass from Campo, it just stunk of a lack of football smarts. I bet if the same pass was to a Mr Matthew Lappin, he would have kept his feet to mark and or knocked the ball to the ground to his advantage and got the ball moving in our direction....One reason i have so much respect for Lappin, his timing and poise is immaculate, and he doesn't have the knickname "skinny" for nuttin.

You think?? well maybe it's the amount of times he recovers any mistake that makes it seem to me that his football smarts are above many others in the team.

Not doubting his smarts just his lack of balance at times. He is very good at getting back up though but sometimes it does hurt us when is flat on his arse on the ground

As for picking this weeks team i stand by my suggestion of lining everyone up at training this week and poking them all repeatedly in the eyes. The 22 that get the angriest get to play.

Well lets drop De Luca too. He went up for a ruck contest and the ball went two feet from Kouta. I reckon if that had been French it would have gone straight to him and we'd have got another clearance.

Lets drop Stevens too. At one stage he didn't chase the Collingwood player with the ball very hard. If it had been Eddie Betts he would have caught him, turned the ball over and created a scoring opportunity.

While we're comparing everyone to Lappin...let drop 15 other blokes. We can't replace them, coz none of the others are that good either, but we should be able to beat Port with Lappin, Stevens, French, Kouta, Fev, Whitnall and Campo (provided he doesn't get suspended. If he does we'll play them with just 6)

I wonder if, despite his good efforts of late, DeLuca is part of the problem.

We seemed so cramped for space up forward. DeLuca is playing a bit too close for goal, because Denis is trying to get the loose man (the other one on Fev) out of the hole.... and DeLuca's the option. I think theyve got to get DeLuca up onto the wing or something.

Get Waite to start forward, then roll into the midfield and tag someone like Francou......

Get Lappin as the loose man... then get him to drift forward and take the spare man.

Then get him running outside 50....

play with an extra midfielder rotating through there to get some mismatches.... and have DeLuca as the 50m-80m marking option... and Fev very deep with Longmuir/Betts hovering around 50.

We have a super-versatile set-up... we can practically run anyone anywhere..... lets try and get them thinking..... worry about some loose men coming forward.

Take you point mate, we all make mistakes, but some things like footy smarts can never really be taught. It's weighing up the good with the bad, and unfortunately i think Davies is too often a fringe player, but i know in time he will get better and we need to be patient, but it's just dissapointing when basic skills are lacking.

Had a bad day watching all the negative stuff on here, its getting to me. You're right that his finishing has been disappointing, however his ability to get shots on goal and his endeavour have been encouraging. I think he's a player that needs some time and encouragement...I don't think dropping him now will do that...and I'm not sure its warranted...but it seems I am in the minority here...so hopefully if it happens he'll have some good weeks for the Bullants and come back a better player,

Sorry for the sarcasm...I know your point wasn't based on comparing him to Lappin :)

Hey Brad, sorry for the neagative sentiment, i am actually very positive about US, i am also a realist and come from the thinking that if you have a group of guys that are of the right makeup, not necessarily the most skilled, i get more pleasure from seeing players like that than ones who are obviously more skilled but not necessarily as ferocious at the ball.

I am going to contradict myself here but gee, i also get pleasure seeing Stevo with the ball caus at least i know that 9/10 he will ht whoever directly on the tit.

Cashi you'd need to eat a certain Sabra to weigh enough to have any presence at CHF.

and with Campo being given a holiday next week - can you imagine the yapping CR would display in his absence...LOOK AT ME!!

A forward flood !!!
