At the Freo - Blues game the other night I have to admit it was difficult from a spectating POV, especially when the action was down the other end. At one stage in the first half I realised I could tell the Freo from the Carlton players because the Freo players had the ball and our guys were chasing 'em.

Anyways, I love our jumper, but i think it's time to catch up with the modern era. I saw heaps of Freo kids with the purple/red/green strip, quite a few with the away strip (white with a purple anchor), a few of the heritage ones, and some old geezer in a Hawthorn jumper and blue $ white streaked hair, but I guess that's a different issue all together....

As for flower Collingwood the have already changed their strip to the all-black back, making it doubly hard.

Wasn't the whole point that we can't have a blue monogram

I think we should change it to a dollar sign considering that is the only thing the AFL respond to. Perhaps Collingwood could have yellow and black stripes given the number of downhill skiers in their side. Maybe they could even put this classic design on the front! :P

those are age designs, not designs submitted by the club.

THE AFL has provoked a showdown with its most powerful club, Collingwood, by finally decreeing that every club in the competition must design "an alternate" jumper by the end of next month.

and of course, Eddie's bucking (pardon the pun) at the idea! If we go, Collingwood goes or no-one goes!

About time.

Something with silver or orange would be lovely, thanks.

whilst i know that the AFL licensing rules override club constitutions, isn't there something in our club constitution that requires the CFC emblem to be in white?

otherwise, i like a white guernsey with navy blue emblem

did anyone listen to the interview with Gilham (?), Commercial Operations guru from the AFL this morning on Sport 927? Wanker TJ was interviewing him as well and carrying on like an A grade tosser like always and a question was posed what would happen if the filth flat out refused to adopt an alternative strip, Gilham answered that they would be kicked out of the league.

There was a few seconds silence as TJ and co. pretty much fainted and then Gilham broke the silence by saying, "I'm only kidding!" It was hilarious (I have an very simple sense of humour  ). Those knobs actually believed him!!

But yeah, Eddie keep fighting it if it means you'll lose draft picks...

Eddie has some good points, but ultimately he's carrying on like a bloody 5 year old who thinks he's more important than everybody else.

Get over it FFS!

Good God Fat Ed is a F*ckbag!

Quote:
"We have played every game in the history of the AFL in black and white stripes."

That's why you changed from striped back with white panel to all black? flower.

And apparently the lolly-coloured umps were Fat Ed's idea:
Quote:
"It took me five years to get them to work out what the umpires should be wearing."

:garthp:

Knob-jockey.

He carries on about tradition with the strips but obviously tradition was a very low priority when it came to moving away from Vic Park to move to the plush surrounds of the Lexus centre! F@#king hypocrit!!!

Boo @#$%&! hoo, filth ferals think the game wouldn't survive without them and their wonderful black and white jumper?

I probably wouldn't notice them not being there until about round 18.

What a great place the world would be if we could eliminate these jerks (a bit like Lional Hutz imagining a world without lawyers :-D )
