After Saturday, I was thinking the worst next week. However, Carlton may have a bit of luck. Chad Cornes (arguably Port's best player) looks like he will be out with a knock to his knee (looked similar to Thornton). Good luck to Chad because I actually like to watch him attack the footy, however this is a bonus for a sour Carlton.

Couple that with a very pathetic performance by Port Adelaide, and you just have to wonder if Port are totally out of sorts at the moment. The loss of both Carr and Stevens seems to have hurt Port, especially with Pickett on the sidelines.

If French and Stevens can have big games, Carlton must be a chance.

Maybe only a slim one, but a chance nontheless.

Carlton will go in underdogs, but this is where they thrived in recent times. Let's hope it continues. THey need to pull off an inspirational win.

Can't see it happening - but then again i couldn't see us losing to the roos or pies.

We need a real shake up this week on the track.

I think port will just be hungrier - we dont seem hungry

Just the thought of Port, the reigning premier, being humiliated in the press all this week over there, being on the rebound next Saturday against us who are not travelling to well, doesn't make me too confidant.

However some real upsets this week. The competition maybe closer than anyone thinks. As Pagan says footy is played 90% above the shoulders. Hope we can turn it around and be competitive at least.

Port got thumped today but just last week they beat Brisbane which is still no mean feat, and if they can do that then they've got us well and truly covered. They'll get Peter Burgoyne back next week who I rate very highly and even with injuries just look like having too much for us.

I don't think if we'll get slaughtered like some are saying but as long as Thornton and Livo are out of this side we can't really expect to beat anyone, they are that important to us.

Not a sweet flying psychotic chance in hell

Last thing you want to do is fight an injured Lion

we're more likely to lose by twice as much after today's effort

I'll put my hard-earned on the Blues.

Should be good odds too.

As this rounds results showed, anything can happen.

As much as I would love to see us get up and beat Port, I can't see it happening. (I'll still pick them in the footy tips tho' )
What I want to see is us putting in 4 qrts of good, hard solid footy. I'll ALMOST be happy with that.

Not a chance we are going to meet these turkeys on the rebound and you can be sure that first class wanker - Michaelangelo Rucci will fire them up with some learned articles next week.

Did you hear the rasberries he got when his name was announced as one of the voting panel for the BOG Medal for the Port -v- Adelaide game.

I'm @#$%&! furious with port loosing today because now, much like Collingood this weekend, they have something to proove.

Then Freo is gonna have something to proove.

I'm sick and @#$%&! tired of being a walkover for teams that have something to proove. We got something to proove too flowers! That the team that won the Wizard cup didn't fluke it! We deserved it! Because we were the best team!

Carlton Vs Port!..............................Bring it on!

@#$%&! Port. We haven't beaten them in years! it's about time we did!

Yeah, it will be 5 times harder beating "Choco" and his men this week after their humiliation V Crows.

The only positive i can see is we can go over there and play with abandon which might be good for us to losen up a little and just try and get back to fast movement of the ball......and to make sure they are accountable in the backline, unlike this week where Clement was allowed to mop up 9/10.

If we keep on playing the way we have in the last 3 rounds, we'll be lucky to beat Richmond,,,,,

Yep, in all seriousness, we are lucky to have 4 points....i just hope we don't lose too much confidence over the next few weeks and can at least keep up the work rate, if so, a win will not be far away.

I'm as big a Carlton supporter as any, i focus my whole week on the blues watching replay after replay of the weeks game etc etc and if i could afford it i would fly to every game possible to watch them live.

But seriously i will be putting my money on Port by +39.5 points at the TAB this week.

I hope i lose my money i really do - but i can't see us wanting it more than they do at this stage.

As the mighty one says its 90% between the ears - too bad 90% of our players still don't get that !!

we need more   and less   8) on the field

hopefully a few of these  :!:  go off this week.

A wise man once told me "If your aunt had balls ,she'd be your uncle"

Just a better performance than this week.

That's all we can ask
Port beat Brissie Lose to Adel 15th on the ladder V Carl beat Ess Loss to Coll.

On this grounds if it was being played away from Aedlaide then.... if

Of course we are. Someone asked before the game yesterday if I was confident. I'm always confident, even if all odds are against us I always think we can win

Was the response thought up before or after you went on a literary expedition to find the quote under your signature?
