I presume Synbad would replace Norman with Livingstone.

Did he not play this week merely as a precaution. I dont think he played in the Bullants either?

Id just like to see players out there with a brain large enough to concentrate on a job.
Karl reminds me of that character from the movie "The Club" you know... when he is watching the passing clouds.
It really pissed me off last week when he had his back turned to the play and lucky he turned around at the right time to get a hand in and spoil a pass.
If youre saying Livo didnt play in the Bullants therefore Karl should keep his spot... No player should just keep his spot because he cant be replaced due to injuries on a list..... i prefer playing Bentick at full back then someone who really isnt switched on to play footy.. week in week out.
Really disappointing year so far by Karl. He id nothing in the intra club games.. he did nothing in the Wizzer... he did nothing in the VFL and he does bugger all at training. He had better pull his finger out quick smart or he will be playing for Broadford along with Laurie next year.
John Kennedy once said something like.. "Son you dont know how little time you have left till its gone"
Karl should have a chat with John Kennedy .He would also need an illustrater for the pictures.

I dont reckon he deserves a spot in the side.
Id rather play Waite back at CHB and just activate Setanta...

We lack a pack mark.. cant wait till Fisher is back....

And if anyone was wondering why Denis didnt want to sack Laurie earlier take a good look at our forward line structure.
Lance is not a CHF..
We dont have a pack mark...

If that Justin Longmuir rumour is true.. we have to pull out all stops to get him... at least he has genuine height and is athletic.
We have 2 190cm tall Key Forwards... :

Id put money on one getting traded at the end of the season.. doubt it will be Fev.

I quite like that idea.

Watching today, Id agree that Karl didnt looked 100 percent involved, concentrating on the game.

I got frustrated how many times that Collingwood kicked across the ground to a loose man to take advantage of the fact that they had a relatively open forward line at that moment in time and a chance to goal.

In the past, Silvagni would have been on the job and read the play a kick or two before the inevitable happened and he would have had a couple of defending mates like Macca as well.

Normal looked on again/off again for too much of the time. When he was on the job, he looked good. In other words the talent is there but the application isnt.

FFS Karl is only in his 3rd year of AFL football and some of the comments are a bit harsh. I thought he did a good job on Tarrant in the 1st half but he wasnt able to do it over 4 quarters. Once Thornton and Livigston back it will allow him to take the 3rd forward which I think hes more suited to. Once he bulks up and gains some more experience I think he will be able to play on the Tarrant like players.

See its not about how many goals Karl had kicked on him by Tarrant. Tarrant is a class act.
Its about how he attacks the game on behalf of himself and the club.
He just isnt thinking through his footy. He gets lost in traffic. he looks slow when we know he isnt.. he doesnt grit his teeth and really get stuck in.
You watch the good sides and the good players and when someone lays a hand on them to tackle them they grit their teeth and push their legs harder to bust through the tackle.. or throw themselves at a smother.. or look around and read the play .. or run off their man when they have to.. or shepherd a team mate.. or make a dummy run to drag a player out ..

He does FA.!!!Nothing!!!... hes just out there playing footy.
Thats not enough... its actually a shithouse trait on the rest of the defence and players.
It is how he trains too...

Everything about Karl is lazy...

Is it because in the country he has never had to concentrate on anything to survive???
He cant concentrate... on or off the field..

He really has to come along way to make it.

I never bag kids like im bagging KArl but he really is an exception. Just doesnt have it in the head to be an AFL footballer.
Hopefully he changes and bites me in the arse.. but i doubt it.

All the bulking up in the world wont make you do the extra things to make opposition players more accountable. You have to want to do it, its a head thing, part of that 90% of footy above the ears.

Usually if you display a poor ability to concentrate on a repeated basis, you arent going to change, no matter what you might be able to lift when on the bench press.

Good call on Waite going back to CHB. Has quite good hands, is Quick and has some size. I think it's time he stopped becoming sheep dog and exerted his pressense on the game. Could be like Chad Cornes if given the opportunity. His kicking for goal from a set shot is a bit of a worry (although, he isn't the lone ranger there), so a defensive post is a great idea, it will also help with his development following some good CHF's around.

Waite's a mixed bag, give him some latitude and he'll kick it long and straight - his goal in the 3rd quarter when there was no one on the mark was dead-eye dick straight.

He's probably on the run like most players. Can't fault his endeavour though he must avoid giving up silly free kicks, often for push in the back.
