We have to ask why team's are converting so accurately against us. I'm sure that is what is concerning Denis the most. Teams can't seem to miss!

Entry into forward 50 by Carlton again shithouse... 3 weeks in a row. This is confidence shattering stuff I reckon.

IT IS OVER. I do not like the Blues for doing this. They are not in my good books now.

Tarrant kicks it and its over.

They had to win their first against us?

What was it? The weather? The fact that you just couldn't play?

I think you've let down the milestones. Disappointing game.

OK... when is this going to be addressed? The delivery is ordinary to say the least. We speak in glowing terms of where we are going but ......

I am so pissed off! We got out of jail last Friday which I think masked some basic faults and now they have been exposed by a crap side!! Where does that put us????

Time for some serious reflection, defenders??? Injuries have really exposed us for depth, let's hope Barney stays fit!!

I will be very interested to hear of Pagan's thoughts after this debacle!!

Can someone explain to me how a team kicks 15 goals 1 in the second half. I am travelling in Philadelphia and I can't get the audio set up but that stat seems extraordinary!

Against all rhyme and reason Collingwood wins and they deserved to win.

Not really.. I just think Carlton are playing no good football. The gaps in the defence are so huge without Livo AND Thornton that sides are always going to kick a bag against us.

There's no KPP backups with those two out. Im certain if those two were in, Carlton would be contianing a lot of opposition forwards.

This bodes poorly for the Blues. You'd suggest Port and Freo would go in raging favourites the next two weeks.

Disappointing for Carlton supporters - you just know the talent should produce better results than this... but maybe that won't come until round 8/9 onwards - problem is, it's too late then. And crikey, if we let a disfunctional Essendon* and Collingwood team kick over 100 points against, what's going to happen against a raging Melbourne, Port Adelaide or St Kilda side?

This doesn't bode well for the Blues... not at all.

I'm pretty pissed off at the fact that Livo and Walker weren't playing. I am not in a good mood. They better win next week although beating Port at AAMI is hard.

Yep, agree fja, we had a freakish turn of accuracy by the Bumbers last week and again by the Pies this week. Unlucky? Possibly.

The fact remains we had control of the game with a 24pt lead in the third quarter and let the Pies back into to the game. As much as this result sucks the big one, full credit must be given to Collingwood because they didn't let up and were good enough to make the most of their opportunities.

When we were in a position of strength we surrenedered it, when the Pies won that position they didn't let it go.

I still think we're too complacent, which surprises me because I would back Pagan's abilities to make sure the team was well prepared.

Anyway, I'm not bloody happy, we let this one slip by being the weaker side. :x :x :x

One thing I noticed, was that the forward line broke down totally. We had no forward structure whatsoever, and poor Archie was left to roam the F50 by himself. I can understand taking Fev out of a situation where he is doube and triple-teamed, but FFS, do ALL the forwards have to go with him?

From the 2nd half of the 3rd qtr, we lost it, and they overran us.

Not good enough, we should have won, even if we didn't bury them.

I think that the young blues are far more confident when they are underdogs. When they are expected to win like today they feel the pressure and tighten up.
Anyway, next couple of matches we will be underdogs, lets see how we go.

You cannot coach against that. 32 goals and 5 behinds is purely freaky kicking. Still, we probably have done well to get 1 win so far.

We can put more pressure on our opponents kicking for goal. We can make better efforts at spoling the ball when it gets bombed in long, rather than letting tall forwards take easy marks at point blank range. We can improve our goal kicking. We should be 2-1, at least!
