Another back to Collingwood... A lead is good but geez, Carlton should be pushing ahead. 3 close games in a row is too much for me :)

Better effort from the lads in front of goal. Although after a good start to the qtr I think we dropped our intensity and slackened off a bit allowing the Pies a good run at it and were they as efficient in front of goals as they were in the first quarter they could have held a slender lead I reckon.

Kouta and DeLuca looking good. Stevens too getting a bit more quality ball. When we're on song we go alright, but we still need to have a plan B for getting the ball inside 50. Opposition defences are becoming quite good at covering Lance and Fev. This is where DeLuca is good for us, as would Fisher if he were fit.

I think in the end we'll be too fit and be able to our run the Pies, and on that I'd like Prenda to have plenty left in him for the last quarter where he could make Rocca run and run as he did in pieces in the second quarter.

We need to keep disciplined and our intensity and concentration levels up and we should be right.

That goal from Lance was amazing, have they got helium in the ball today, he kicked that from inside the centre square, comfortably inside too!

One of Shaw OOF's was due to some excellent pressure from Scotland. Rhyce got the ball pretty comfortably and should have done better, but Scotland chased bloody hard and applied enough pressure to force the mistake.

This type of pressure wins matches. Similarly, Fev's goal came from some good work in defensive 50 by Kouta and Carazzo, the Pies looked to be in a good position to score but some good work by Kouta in the marking contest enabled Carrots to mop up and then we were able to relatively comfortably get the ball done the members side wing, a good contested mark on the forward flank to Waite, then eventually to Fev in the pocket.

Just on Fev's kick for goal. The angle was tight, but not right on the line, I reckon he could have kicked for goal with a conventional drop punt, but he took a step and kicked a banana goal. I have a feeling he wasn't confident enough in his foot skills to go for the regular punt, but hopefully he'll get some confidence from that kick.

Anyone who reckons Carrazzo should be in the Bullants needs to think again!
