So which one of you idiots made it onto that little segment on the Footy Show?

And who was that ex-player have a whinge? Was that about Carlton?? I missed it due to distractions away from the screen...

On a side note - it seems to be a bit better, better humour at least. I'm a JB fan, most of the time.

you talking bout that last segment on the footy show..... i also was distracted but who ever that was saying he is disgusted that he helped Collo get in shame on you. When are we going to learn to STOP FEEDING THE MEDIA......

What was the story about the sun vs Carlton and the Age?????

Some kid was just saying how he couldn't stand to be around, kept trying to injure himself - dunno if he was referring to Carlton and I didn't recognise him.

His nickname is Fish. Asked a heap of questions at the AGM, most not worthy of responses, but did raise the point that he was responsible with others for Collins being in power.

That was Mark Powell.

Was traded to North from Sydney in last year's trade period only to retire in the off season citing a loss of passion for the game as his reason for retirement.

Must admit wasn't aware of him deliberately trying to hurt himself which I found to be a little disturbing.

Chris Jones broke a story about Carlton.

Main Points: Carlton had signed a deal with THE AGE to exclusively report our 'membership' situation.

Herald Sun allegedly threatens Carlton...to make them renegg on the deal....Carlton back out of The Age deal. (Big $$$ deal apparently)

Collo also signed a similar deal with Telstra Dome and Jones raised this as potential conflict of interest. Collins branded a lame duck board member as he has to abstain from many board decision. Also a HS guy, (i think) says that a TD boss cant chair carlton board ie. Conflict of I.

The Age threatening to sue Herald Sun.

Also showed AGM seens and Fish having a go at Collo in front of the cameras.

Interesting to me was the Herald Suns threat to Carlton. We all know the HS gives us rough ride, but we shouldnt be influenced. Average Joe public HS reader hates Carlton therefore negative Carlton stories have mileage for HS. Theyll continue with that as long as it penetrates the readers.

na no mention of kouta's 250, the whole affair seemed to be a little disorganised without Ed at the helm, but i think it will eventually be better. Gary seemed to take on board Sam's threat that he'd go home after 11 because he was constantly rushing everything - except the first 10 mins which felt like an hour.

Nicely summed up, CrazyJoe. A bizarre situation

No mention of Kouta's 250th

yeah no mention on Koutas 250, pretty disapointing to say the least.

As for the footy show i honestly think they in a little trouble, i mean they tried to be funny, serious, informative, stupid..... it will take time to find a balance but i dont think the format will work.

They need one man anchoring the show either JB or Gary..... I think they would be much better to have a format like the NRL Garry, JB, Sam and once Crawf retires he will be the fourth member just Matthew Johns (aka Reg Reagan)

And the set conflicts with the members.... needs to be darker more relaxed.....

time will tell

i have heard a rumour that chanel 7 have approached Roy and HG to come up with there own footy show and wana go head to head against tthe footy show on thursday. So could get interesting!!! watch this space

Put him on the board to pump up the brand and then we can have our own conflict of interest. 8)

Once the footy returns to Seven we'll further along the road to recovery and all will be right in the world again! :)

I hope! :(

It was pretty bad tonight, it just didn't work really. They all tried a bit hard and lacked a lot. I'm a big fan of JB but he was verrry nervous. The siren gimmick and everything just was even more lame than usual to be honest

John (?) Fisher. Don't waste your time trying to have a discussion with him, cos he only talks in a very loud voice, gets even louder if you try to present a contrary opinion, and is often emotional and irrational. Major conspiracy theorist. He was one of the USC guys who playeda part in bringing Collo together with some of the other current Board members back in 2002.

Hs statemet was patently ridiculous. Clearly the Club is much better off now than it would have been if Elliot had stayed.

Just because there are some issues which need to be addressed in a better manner by the current Board does not mean this clown needs to put his gob on TV and further damage the brand just because he likes the sound of his own voice.

And as for the show, didn't think it was much different from previous years. Only very minor format changes, as far as I could see.

The've forgotten the formula for what made it a success in the 90s.

It's on Thursday night - the night the teams for the weekends games are announced - Why wouldn't you just talk about each game, the ins and outs and tactics ala Fox Footy shows.

Forget about trying to attract a few girls who wouldn't normally care about football with singing comps and give aways - just talk about the footy for Christs sake!!

I am absolutely sick of the drugs issue - haven't we seen enough crap about it by now? I'm sure we could crap on about it for 3 months if we wanted to.

Don't wheel out cryusty old ex-footballers to talk about the good ol days when the game was 'so much better' - just concerntrate on the here and now!!

I even got sick of the old Carlton/collingwood crap that McChubby would dribble on with every time we played them - imagine how every other supporter was feeling?

They'd certainly have a different take on the great game, I wonder how many times the Lithgow Shamrocks would get a run?

I watched 30 minutes to see whether there had been an improvement over the absolute bogan crap dished up in recent years.

For those who like it, take comfort in the warmth of more lame, third rate garbage.

Still the One? Not likely.

just imagine when Fev is on the panel they going to turn him into the clown of the show by feeding him at every opportunity cause they so desperate

FEV BETTER WATCH OUT!!!!

I think they need less involvement from the players panel....... less of Sam and i think JB adn Sam are a better combination then the Gary, Sam and JB

They should have a panel of recently retired players you have got balls to say what they think and can have a laugh and not worry about there image.

And what is with the shitty sketches???????

leave the laughs to Trev PLEASE
