That is the burning question to be asked. How much does the Carlton team want a win on the weekend?

We can beat the Demons come Sunday, no probs. In the end it comes down to who wants to walk away with the 4 points more. Carlton or Melbourne.

I don't want to hear any excuses this season. The time is now that every F@#$%NG Carlton player in that team puts in 110% and shows a burning desire to remain in the Carlton jumper.

We have been written off BIG TIME already this season, fair enough, we came bottom last season, we've copped it on the chin, and now it's time to put heads down bums up.

The Carlton team this year has something to prove. That they are a building force and not a rabble. With solid comittment and a focus on playing good, hard, tough, smart footy, positive results will not be too far away.

I agree here. We've lost a lot of times the last couple of seasons because of the psychological battle that we've decided not to fight.

Losing our club psychologist was part of this.

The stuff written about us being the bottom again this year needs to be plastered on every locker and every player looked in the eye and said - "are you really this bad? Get out there and prove you're not!"

I wish it were all about the psychology of the game... It must also be partly to do with the cattle on the paddock... I hope to hell that we kick the shit out of them though...

We have a losers mentality at the moment, and we need to turn this around...

Go Blues!

The main thing I want to see this year is better tackling.

It all starts in 3 days Blues…fire up!

Christ if we couldn't put up a show against them on the last ever time we graced our hallowed turf how the hell are we going to beat them at TD??

I woulda/coulda run through a brick wall that day....

(we'll win by 6 goals now!!)

I think its a winnable game....preseason form has been reasonable, Kouta is playing his 250th, Melbourne have several underdone players and we are the underdogs with no real expectations except to pick up another salad spoon....

I fear a first up belting could lead to a pattern of poor form including several more beltings and by mid year we could be looking for a new coach....its the beltings I dont want to see..no more 100 point drubbings where we go belly up...got to start with a win and get some self belief into the players....you dont want Marc Murphy, Josh Kennedy etc as part of teams who cop 100 point beltings and carry the scars and its only hinders development.....
Blues to win by 24 points...Fev and Fisher to kick a bag each.....with Eddie Betts being a cameo star...

Ooh, I'd pay good money to see a legitimate fierce tackle on that wannabe tough guy Brad Miller.
