or is this all just your opinion? Lets state when things are opinions, gossips, feelings, faint wafts on a spring breeze, and when we know something for fact.

Perhaps you know for a fact Bower feels terrible and has lost confidence due to that dressing down. Then do you know what the club's doing about it?

Do know what Bower feels about Mitchel/ Mitchel about Bower?

Do you know anything or just bitching about the club becuase of your perceptions?

Don't get me wrong, bitch all you want, just wanted to clarify what's fact and whats opinion.

Danny happened to be at a dinner some time back last year with a Lady who was employed by the AFL to see how these insterstate recuits settled in.
Its a big problem getting them to settle down and one of the major factors is cash. Clubs are very slow at paying players and apparently Carlton is one of the worse. I'm not for one minute making excuses for Bower as I was out of home at 18 and loving it. But I did have a steady income. It may have been a bit different if I was miles away from home stuck with bugger all cash to spend and then having one of my bosses giving me a bollock .

So now its..........homesick, a bollocking AND not having any money. Anything we have forgotten.

Happened to have chat with a young CFC player today (No not PB). I asked him how he was traveling with Mitch.

He said the following.......He thought Mitch was a very good coach because tactically he was very smart and you always knew exactly where you stood with him. No wishy, washy stuff. No confusion as to how he thought you were traveling or what you need to do to improve your game. His game plan is simple to follow and he doesn't confuse you by constantly changing his mind. He likes players who put their head over the ball and run straight. He likes team players, not individuals. He likes sacrificial acts and 1%ers.

You do as you are told and play the way he wants or you cop a few words in your ear. He doesn't play favorites. He said he praises you just as much as he asks WHY?

He said the new kids had no problems with his style.

Regards Cazzesman

Caz I'm only going on what this woman said to be it could be all bullshit for all I know .

And by the way I dont have a problem with the coach giving the players a dressing down -and I cant comment on Mitchell other than he seems to have a good record with the ants. If the players anything like me when I played it went in one ear and straight out the other. And its no different from being at work and coping a bollocking off the boss.

But you might know better than anyone - do the players have trouble getting paid - Because this woman was pretty pissed off with the Carlton football club

Don't know about the big money earners at the pointy end but I do know the kids get paid every month by direct payment, straight into their bank account from the time they were drafted/rookied.

With the sheer amount they get paid (at least double base wage) they go ok getting it monthly I'd assume.

I cannot understand for a second why anyone even remotely involved with the club would bother reading anything posted here.

TC has sadly become the home of baseless, ignorant rumour, innuendo and speculation.

Plenty of people get homesick. Must we have a scapegoat everytime someone farts within sniffing distance of Royal Parade?

Clubs have been known in the past to defer payments to the players on higher salaries. Pretty sure the players association got on top of it though.

You're a disgrace Cazzesman

How dare you take the fun out of rumour-mongering

Just because you can't be creative doesn't mean that others can't be ...

Anyone can regurgitate the facts - no talent needed there.

Agreed he wouldn't be human if he didn't get homesick. I'm sure the O'Hailpin's miss their family and friends too but they'll get by becoming AFL stars.

That would be a fair comment if it was particular to TC Deano....unfortunately it is not. THe internet forums are rife with crap rumours and innuendo.

It is a symptom that Carlton supporters are suffering from as a whole due to the last horrible few years. The best you can do is challenge them on it and not let them get away with it.

And I also feel with the growth of internet forums over the last 2-3 years that there are a lot of newbies who struggle with the concept of "just because you are faceless behind a keyboard and a computer screen doesn't mean you can leave your consience behind when you post".

They all logged on until last week when Warren was locked.

Now they have no need whatsoever.

I would be concerned if Bower was homesick next year in his second year at the club. However being homesick in his first year is probably normal.

Dannyboy you are right my opinion and comment are worth nothing. That's why its called an opinion I never said it was fact and some of your postings are also opinion, I assume. So Cazzes spoke to Flinty and he said no worries with Mitch. One player spoke for Bower and the entire team? Sounds very much like an opinion to me, not fact. Surprisingly I don't know Judd, Cooney or Bower personally, although Juddy's mum is fine singer, but I thought this was an internet forum that basically is a rumour centre, not The New Republic. All comment doesn't need to be first hand sourced or you might as well shut this site down now and take the Herald-sun and Age with you.
