It makes sense but it was pointless to talk in riddles.

I seriously wonder what Synbad is thinking and feeling when he writes some of this stuff, mainly the feeling part... strange kid.

i reckon StKilda have a couyple of players who could easily captain that club.

Hamill is one..hed be our captain of he was still at the club.. regardless of his didgy calves.
Luke Ball is captaincy material and could be a CEO or a President of a footy club when hes done!!!

Kosi has the presence and the respect to lead a club.

Id love our club to have youth coming through of the ilk of some of those blokes at StKilda leadership wise.

I reckon Murphy is a great future captaincy candidate.

In the interstate championship when McInley was dumped and Murph ran 100 meters to strongly remonstate with the villain was an example!!!He didnt lose his cool.. he just came in and let the opposition player that he wasnt going to stand for that and he was on notice. All legal all legit and very responsible.

We need a few more of those types around the club.

Do not underestimate the value that a character like Murphy brings to a club on and off the field!!!...

Kind of like being a Carlton supporter rather than a critic.

Is Murphy ready to be appointed Captain?

Murphy has more leadership qualities in his little finger than most of those blokes put together....

Youll see....

You can be a supporter and a critic cos you care...

you can be a supporter and a bimbo cos youre hair is blonde...

you can be a supporter and dead cos youre in the box at your funeral.

You can be all kinds of supporter... just depends on you...

Terrific future candidate...

Marc Murphy captain of carlton at 18...

No pressure!... :?

I see Waite,Murphy and Kennedy as the future leaders....Hamill was the big loss, regardless of what many think of him on this forum he is a terrific leader and has developed into a Glen Archer style team man who makes his teammates walk taller.

I would have made Barnaby French captain and told him to get more intense and look after his smaller mates....I think it would make him a better player as well...Waite would have been my VC and I reckon Fev could be in the leadership group down the track..might do him some good ..

No doubt we have a good developing leadership group. Problem is they are too young and inexperienced for that role in 2006/7.

I find it amusing that some posters here complain about lack of qualified leaders on one hand, while telling those we do have to pee off with the other.

Kouta, Lappin, Lance are all we've got now - with-out them we're cactus. Most top sides have many, many(8-12) 100+, 27+year old players - we don't.

You can't recruit that, and it takes years to develop it. These are the cards we've been dealt. It's not Denis' fault, it just is.

Why would i need to be a clairvoyant to make money???
Are you a westy by any chance???

And Carlton number 1.. Murph captain of his school captain of the chargers.... captain of Vic Metro... dont think its all un natural to him somehow...

But they are the kinds of players that help the others lift...

:-D As usual Synbad, always on Lance's back....Get over it as he just may be our next skipper and he is a valuable key position player in a side that is struggling for any leadership at all.....

He cant play KP.. so how is he a KP player????

And if our skipper is a guy we tried to trade because of his slack attitude over a number of years the people making those kind of decisions seriously needs to reconsider their own positions.

You cant have a captain who if you look away for 5 seconds will blw himself right out....

Captaincy is about professionalism and setting the tone.

What tone can Lance set???

careful of the westy call Synbad, that's just stupid.

As for Lance, i wish we had have traded him, we didn't. Life is all about redemption, i hope Lance redeems himself 9sure is making a good fist of it at the moment) and i would love for him to make me eat my words (my brothers will remind me of my wish to trade him off)

let those who have not eaten a big mac throw the first stone 8)

Im into the bacon dbl cheese burger delux myself....

speaking of westy.. Grant Thomas once said about Luke Ball... "Scotty West wouldnt be fit to tie up Luke Balls shoelaces"

Next time they played West had about 45 posessions and singlehandedly killed them.. so i know what you mean.....

i saw the 2006 team photo today i saw the Great Man, Big Fev in the row where they are seated, now that is row is the leadership group so i think that FEv is back in the leadership group which is good.
