Interesting...

Agreed. If the renegotiation was done in good faith and to help the club out, as it would appear then it is pretty bad form for Collo to be caught out griping about it in public.

Clearly this has to have a negative affect on morale, just when you thought it was almost at its lowest point. Is he man enough to offer a public apology to Kouta? Could lead to a very interesting AGM next week.

I agree it was pretty crap. I don't know what purpose it would serve, besides remind me what state the club is in.

As if I need to be reminded.

Way to show club unity board and captain.

I doubt Collo would have said that if he didn't have a problem with Kouta.

Dont be supprised to see kouta quit Carlton now and go to St Kilda for top dollar. Hell, he could even be their captain for 1 season...

If and i say IF that was actually what Kouta said then it is poor form. Nothing wrong for him to think he has been stitched up by Collo, but as Captain he should offer no comment to an ugly press.

However, i am more disappointed that it is the only comment we have heard from him this year (just about)....where has he been during some pretty tough weeks when 'faces' of the club were needed?

This is not a very harmonic start to the season - and unfortunately Kouta has only added more fuel to the fire by responding to the press.

Actually if you check here in his player profile, you will find that he has written four articles (or someone has for him) and had a press conference for his renewal of the captaincy.

I would have thought he would have a few other quotes here and there too.

thanks Jimmae, perhaps i stand corrected on his press efforts - but keep in mind these are mainly internal news letters.

My main point is the outcomes on his communication opprtunities with the media. If he can't or Coutts cannot secure media opportunities to 'talk up' the club then fine. However, don't turn one of your only opportunities with the media to support the media's efforts to beat us up again!. Better to say nothing on the matter- regardless of whether collo is right or wrong.

Kouta's first duty is to the club and not himself....his comments do nothing but further damage to the club.

I'm loving being a Carlton supporter at the minute.

It's been a great couple of weeks - lost my job, did my licence (on probation for 12 months now), footy club going down the toilet with one bad story after the next...

All I need now is for my knob to turn black and fall off and then there'll be no more surprises.

Kouta isnt playing like a million dollar man so he shouldnt complain.
The club was dumb enough to bend over so they shouldnt complain.

Collo is the master of using the media.

Kouta should only be hammered for stealing money from this club by TC posters and noone else!!!....

Confucious say "He who toy with the wanton Mrs Palmer and her five daughters, surely create sticky situation"

I say "Be careful Deano. Mrs Palmer has got a twin sister handy, but she is a bit backward" :P

Seriously, bad luck about the job. One door closes and another opens so don't be gazing outta window.

All i can say is that all the players on the list cant stand the current board and were all dumbfounded by campo's departure, they all support campo.

Two wrongs don't make it right.

Kouta, if you had a problem with collo's comments then you should have raised it directly with him rather than expressing your disapointment through the media.

Murph hates the current board?

Raso too?

And young Josh, he hates the board?

McLaren hates them?

Saddo also???

Also these players and more hate the board!! Not dislike, not have disagreements with, not unsure of, but, but hate!!! hate the board!

Dear me the end is nigh!!!!
