I'm getting sick of the Fevola booing and taunting, only because he hasn't kicked 8.

The fact is, 99% of people at the footy are morons. They know nothing about the match. They don't read the play. They can't really "see" what's happening to Fevola when he has 3 blokes on him. So they boo him because its the easy option.

Then again.... our feral supporters are somewhat easier to bear than opposition ferals

Just some youngster blaming Carlton fans of a certain ethnicity for
bringing down the quality of the Club. Don't worry about it Deano.

What was worse though was someone else saying that anyone with a rhyming name had to be a complete and utter tosspot.

I reckon that alot of this behaviour is borne out of "the painful years", when we had to learn about losing. Guess we forgot that part of winning that involves humility.

I know that I have - I'm not getting it every week, so I enjoy it when we do - probably harder than ever - round 22 last year for example - I'm surprised I survived the car park - but I couldn't resist. Same on Friday - at Richmond they had the Essendon* train - had to give them a send off - and surely did.

And I just want us to win - it's like imploring the team to do so, and specially against the bummers, and we're playing like crap - knowing we can play so much better, thinking of the pain of the loss to the bummers.....

Still, when we start to play good consistant footy, and win more than we lose regularly, I reckon we'll all settle down.

We have been to hell (We all got the shit kicked out of us for a bit there)- and now we're back - Let's let everyone enjoy it for a while.

To quote the great Dave Warner,
"I go to the football to cheer for my team
I go to the football to hear myself scream"
Both are good reasons to be there in my book.

I've always got plenty to say at the Footy but I don't like to be negative about the Blues.
There is so much to say about the opposition and the umpires that there is no excuse for bagging your team.

Hearing the stuff that people yell out can make your day at the footy. I was a proud father when the Son of 16 gave Lucas a spray during the Wizard Cup. Lucas had taken a dive trying to milk a free. My son yelled out, "You should be in the Olympics Lucas". A second or two passed, just long enough for people to think where is the kid going with this when he ripped out the punch line "Doing synchronised diving with Lloyd".

Gracious in defeat and humble in victory.Great saying isnt it.Trouble is sticking to it.Bloody hard when you have had some loon Essendon* nutter gobbing off in your ear all night.I actually prefer Tiger and Pie supporters to them, coz you at least know what you get.No pretence. Is it me,or do a lot of Dons fans think there a little bit more respectable than us underlings ? Not in an old school tie type of way like Dees, but a real arrogant boofhead style.

Is it just me or have our supporters turned into ferals? Fair dinkum at the last couple of games I have had the biggest idiots sitting around me bagging the hell out of the team all game and then the first ones to go nuts when we start winning again. Wish they would go back to following Richmond!

Totally agree chief! The worst thing is its as bad as ever even after the last few seasons we've finally got a competitive side and people are still not happy. I'd say we have as bad a supporter as anyone including Richmond. The amount of abuse thats yelled at the footy or left on the various Carlton forums these days is becoming a joke. I'd love to see these same people go down to the local footy club (non AFL) and sit behind the Full Forward and yell abuse at him all day! (assuming he's 110kg and 6'2)
Would they do it then? No they would shit themselves.
Speaking of local footy maybe its the fact that less people are playing the game these days. Maybe these people need to actually play the game before they become experts. As a country boy all my life were you play footy in the winter and cricket in the summer I was shocked to read last year that a few high profile older (male) Blue View members have never played the game. Now before all the girls have a go at me I'm not having a go at you girls for not playing the game because you don't carry on like experts but seem to have very good opinions/observations about the game. Where as our feral friends are always right and if the aren't they soon find another target and move on to that.

i have to put my hand up and admit to going feral on occasions at the footy. not so much at our players, but at some of the umpiring decisions. what can i say. footy is an emotional game. i will give the umps a blast. i give opposition players a serve too. when one of our guys messes up, my usual response is, what is <insert name here> doing?!?!?!?!!?!? other well used phrases are what on earth are they doing!?!?!?!?!?!!? and my personal favourite... for christ's sake blues!!!! MAN UP!!!!!!!

look i'm certainly not an angel at the football. i don't crucify our own blokes though, and i never take any enjoyment from an opposition player getting injured. mind you there have been a couple of players of the years that i've finally lost patience with. justin murphy used to get to me. as did simon fletcher and mick mansfield. i'm sure there are others too, who have had a player that you just couldn't stand. the one thing that i need to work on is my language at the footy   espescially now that i have a kid who is about 9 or 10 sitting in front of me for home games at the 'G'.

never need to apologise about giving the umpires a spray

ive been none to run out of breath half way through a rant

Believe it or not, ive never bagged a player wearing navy blue at the footy. :P
I do remember Parkin around 97 ish maybe 98 saying that supporters should get behind players instead of bagging them because negativity spreads through a team and the fragile minds of footballers. That players do get effected by what comes from the stands.
I really cant believe why Fev gets bronx cheers when he kicks 2 or 3 goals and had a hand in a couple more when he hasnt had the best day.
The fact is Fev is on line for 50 for the season on 2 of his lesser games.
In previous years he may not have kicked any on days like those.

People bag Wiggo and Co because they remember Wiggos mistakes but if you really have a good look at what Wiggo does, he doesnt make more mistakes than anyone else but we do highlight his more than say Stevos.

The other thing to keep in mind is players are playing with injuries and niggles and personal situations and theyre only human but we think theyre robots.

Get behind them at the footy.

One guy yelled out "squib" at Andrew Walker when he didnt back into a mark in his first game.

Hopefully people will highlight, or remember, Wiggos mark backing into the pack in the Bumbers game. Fantastic courage! Onya Wiggo, keep it up son.

On Friday night I sat behind a Blues Member, he was in section P1 row A and around seat 14? He spent the first three quarters bagging Carlton players, saying Campo was too slow and too old, screamed at Waite to get off the ground after a mistake and gave it to Lance when he kicked but should of handballed near goals.

Complete turnaround from this moron in the last quarter when the Blues stormed home. I felt sorry for his two young children having a role model like that as a father. A real fair weather supporter and I have to sit behind him for the rest of this year at the MCG.

Yeah, hate those flower, we are not Richmond, and we should never aspire to be like that bunch of f***W***.
Your right, poor kids!

I don't think I ever bag our players in a match. The worst I tend to get is "Oh for Christ's sake <player name> what the @#$%&! did you do that for", "Who the @#$%&! is on Hird/Buckley [or whoever is going off ina game against us]", "Come on Blues, think before you @#$%&! around with the @#$%&! ball, for @#$%&!'s sake."

I know the guys out there will always try and do the best they possibly can for the Navy Blue - especially now Denis has instilled some pride in playing for each other an the club again - and for that, they have my respect.

And I will never, ever boo my own team off. I'm not a Sydney fan or a Richmond supporter, I'm a BLUE.
