Anyhow , umpire no 13 is an excellent umpire . Always impresses me regardless of who is playing . Great around team effort . Josh Fraser handled the after match presser beautifully . Jeezus he's clear and concise . He might be a played back country boy at heart but he aint a hick . One step ahead of the vultures just waiting for a slip-up . As hard as they tried to catch him out he was one step ahead of them . Don't worry , the Journo's know this Coaching situation has got potential debacle written all over it and they just waiting for there moment . All credit to Joel Selwood who has publicly backed Josh's stance on his right to take the stand he has . As far as I'm concerned there is still a lot of water to cross under the bridge and I believe the Club are doing the right thing to wait until the dust settles .

How good is it having multiple players that can slot goals from 50

Three or four outbursts from me...one or two of them muffled...but I was at my local tavern.

Was a struggle early, but sheer grit and determination won out on the day.

this isn't a knock on Harley Ried, he's a champion in the making, but geez he won a few very soft frees today. Pitto had him cold for HTB and somehow Reid gets the free. A few minutes later someone else also wrapped him up, not a hint of it being high, same story, "free kick Harley". Weird.

Harley Reid would be an unbelievable add on to any team.

My fear is he will end up at *

Pretty understandable really , he's an AFL pin up boy . Protected species .

Well done bluedog with your match day posts.
IIRC you were at your local tavern, hopefully with fellow baggers

I was up north in Terrigal watching the game, with, now Carlton converts
Great way to start the party. A 53 point win. Great fun.
TC speed wasn't welcoming enough for me to respond during breaks.

That was nourishment.

Kids, Dean, Wilson, Cowan, and 6 game player, Derksen supported by 34yo Haynes, 33yo Newman and 28yo Florent has been our defense for the last 3 games.
No Weitering. 67, 65, 64 has been kicked against us in 360 minutes of footy.
Have to start believing the kids are standing up, Derksen is playing his role, and growing in confidence, and it is a defense not held up by individuals.
Team Defense.

We were beaten in the ruck but Team defense didn't wither, it started in the middle, Cripps Walsh Hewett Smith and our wings Cerra and Acres are the best defensive mids in the AFL. Our forwards put on 10 tackles in the F50 in the first quarter alone.

Mindset is to win the ball, or stifle, or take the ball back, and hello turnover game. 65 odd points from Turnover, 55 odd points from Stoppage.
Team effort.

They are all on the same page, giving the contest 100% for 4 quarters. That's entertainment.

WC previous 5 games include 2 wins and a loss against North when Waterman missed an easy goal after the siren.
Worst loss was by 10 points.
Statistically their game is in very good shape the second half of the season to date. Ranking among the AFL's leading teams in front-half pressure, inside-50 differentials, and forward-half intercepts. I'll take a 9 goal win every day of the week. :smoking:

Yes BV , a good up and coming young side who won't be easy beats for much longer . And a good up and coming coach in Minnie McQualter . McQualter knows his stuff .
